Do you mean Stockley or JD's boy ?

JD's boy of course ;)

He's in Melbourne at the moment. Been looked after by a VFL alignment club with a trip to the grand final.

some bloke called Cody Nelson kicked 80 goals in their comp, is he the bloke ?.
according to JD62 whoever he is as twice as good as Lourey and Keitel put together which will mean he will get drafted anyway..:)

A simple search would have found that young Cody is from Canning Vale in the East Fremantle zone so not him. Also I would like to know where exactly I have stated any player is "twice as good as Lourey and Keitel put together".

I thought this place would be a great place to bring up an adult discussion about which clubs are neglecting their country zones but an adult discussion is obviously out of you reach. I don't know if guilt has something to do with it considering Swan Districts have one of the lowest country zone representation.

I have promised his family that I will now name him as it will embarrass and put a too high expectation on him. Leedy I suggest if you can't help yourself and really want to know I suggest you contact the club as they know. In the last week they have tried to make things difficult for him to move to another WAFL club.

Seeing as tho Swans had the highest % local zoned boys in the WAFL competition this year I think you might want to take your argument back to Joondalup JD.
Swans country zone representation boys in the senior squad this year- Ugle, Blakely, McKay, Hughes, Ansey, Wilson, Stapleton, Hislop, Maguire.
Colts country boys- Hackett, Shaw, Clarke, Adams, Watson, Gillard, Shorter, Yarran ..Hackett & Shorter won the Colts F&B, Hackett won the 18's Academy Award.
Swans have the least number of Interstate recruits in the WAFL with 2 (one of which has now retired) WP have 7.
On a side note Swans have 8 boys going to the various AFL draft camps/screenings whilst WP have 1 former Swans boy Marcus Adams!
May I suggest doing a little bit more research on your behalf in the future before bringing SD into any conversation regarding local zoned boys be they from the country or city!
Furthermore we have also our country zoned AFL listed boys in L.Jetta, N.Jetta, Cameron, Blakely, Hughes, Bennell JD whilst Swans country zoned boys playing at other WAFL clubs include Johnston & Latch at P & Lawler at FART.

yep great see all that BH.......Where would life be without the SDFC then mate?

........tho the only reason why SD have the lowest number of interstate recruits in the WAFL BH is because their previous interstate spending financially raped them......thus they were left with no choice but to look local.....thus all those local zoned boys running around for the club of late......no doubt it was SDFC plan all along

Yeah freeze amazing we recruit half a dozen interstate recruits for one of the very few times in club history to try and fill some gaps from the 20 odd players we had drafted into the AFL between 07-11 and you will continually bring it up at every opportunity whist certain other clubs recruit heavily interstate every year and never seems to get a mention from your good self and it did help us secure a long overdue flag it must be said ;) financial reasons or not I am more than happy to stay local as you well know as it is imperative we have a pathway for our local juniors tho the results don't lie it seems with those that do recruit heavily from interstate having all the success of late unfortunately.

Come on BH you know very well it is my responsibilty to keep you Swannie boys level headed and both feet firmly on the ground......the Subi boys dont gloat how much better they are than the rest of the comp....they should with 6 flags in the last 10 or so years.....as for the WP boys not too sure why they recruit outsiders....cardy reckons half their reserves boys would be starters at most other clubs in the WAFL.....I just assume they are the other clubs I apparently am happy to ignore......not got a vendetta against your beloved ducks BH.....just simply doing my job mate......trying to be all responsible like for once! :P

Well no you don't, you're second on the list behind Claremont but that is very honourable.

Again honourable on a colts level but chances don't flow to league level for country kids as much as they do on other teams as shown by 3 of those guys you listed in the senior squad didn't play a league game this year.

Beasley Hutton wrote: Swans have the least number of Interstate recruits in the WAFL with 2 (one of which has now retired) WP have 7.

Very good but we all know the reason for that has more to do with your clubs financial position rather than a club mandate. Also there is one club this year that had not a single game played by an interstate recruit so once again Swans are second on that list.

Beasley Hutton wrote: May I suggest doing a little bit more research on your behalf in the future before bringing SD into any conversation regarding local zoned boys be they from the country or city!

I have completed a lot of research on the use of country kids by WAFL clubs and considering you were wrong in a couple of areas I suggest looking into this a bit more yourself before questioning others more educated on the subject.

To help you out here is all the number of games played by country kids at their own WAFL zoned clubs this year (exc guys like Mark Seaby who is from Muka originally but didn't play at his home club West Perth)
South Fremantle 26.36% (116 games played out of 440)
East Perth 22.53% (114 games out of 506)
Perth 20.00% (88 games out of 440)

Claremont 18.61% (86 games out of 462)
East Fremantle 18.18% (80 games out of 440)
Subiaco 17.15% (83 games out of 484)

Swan Districts 10.23% (45 games out of 440)
Peel 8.26% (40 games out of 484)

West Perth 2.84% (15 games out of 528)

WAFL Average 15.79% (667 games out of 4224)
