Bazza wrote: I watched and could not beleive how bad East Fremantle oval presented on TV, it was highly embarrasing for the league, to see a camera zoom into a ruckman/center square who in the background had nothing but a pile of brown dirt and sand with weeds growing out of it was a total disgrace, this happened pretty much all through the game. The rest of the ground ( largely empty looked pretty ordinary as well.

If we want to have half a chance of getting people along to these venues, the clubs should be told to get together with their councils to get the grounds to improve their presentation for a larger TV audience.

Agree Baz I said this months ago about this fixture. A league game on a Sunday morning (mothers day too) will be a terrible look for the wafl.

no surprise it was, though the game itself wasn't that bad after the shock of the first quarter. At least the demons did something worth watching. But yes image is everything these days, and this telecast was always going to be an image destroyer.

If you think the WAFL competition would be better off with no coverage then you are delusional

Wow - lets see DS ... umm I'm re-reading my post and for the life of me I cant see anywhere that I wrote that the WAFL competition would be better off with 'no coverage'

When I said you must be 'dreeeeeamin' I meant that in humorous sarcasm, but I didn't appreciate your obvious medication regime......your hallucinating and Im guessing your world must be fun and a happy place to be ??

My response is possibly more eloquently stated in MIKEH reply and I am happy to defer you to his writings

And if you re-read my original post all I said was I was happy that we had Channel 7 Coverage of the WAFL versus none.

Your issues regarding West Perth are a whole other topic.

My point was DS Perth being 1 and 6 aint gonna attract viewers. Agree though that 7s partial coverage is better than nothing but i thought communism went out with Gough.

SDFC and the Bassendean Council should be commended on the presentation of Bassendean Oval. It is one of the best.

Quite simply it is the best!
Pity there hasn't been a game there yet.

Have to apologise for the state of Moss St. My fault, every time I used to deliver booze to the Bowling Club I couldn't help but take it upon myself to urinate thru the fence on to the back of the northern end shed. Who would have thought my piss would be toxic and infect the entire ground. Got caught out by the Kiwis a couple of times over in the council section there too but all they did was laugh...haha fond memories of the Shit Pit as I like to call it

Thanks mate...heading back to Indo next Monday for another month. Seems I found my passion for catching a wave again and as I have no job to concern myself with back here atm why not!! True story above too mate. I really couldn't help myself and being that all 3 owners I worked for at the time were EF people I took great pleasure in sharing my actions with them. I reckon they thought I was feeding them a line but was all true haha
