Significant enough to put healthy black figures this year , also coin in bank again through long time family supporters
I will await the report like many others

Baz I always thought the same about Subiaco Oval - it will become housing soon enough

An asset is an asset regardless - you know it's the land

Exactly mate, Im South and its pretty obvious going forward that it will happen.

Agree, it's something I have thought about for a while now, but have refused to face it. To have the 2 clubs that have really been the heart and soul of West Aussie football since the beginning would be the beginning of the end of the people's WAFL. It will become the AFL's playground with no thought or consideration of state footy. Still, our kids will drive this and we old farts and our love of WAFL will just be a passing memory. Out with the old, in with the new.

Spot on 58, once us diehards drop off the perch, it will be a natural progression. I know my 2 daughters have a bit of passion for the Falcons, I told them when Im gone all I would like them to do is attend the GF if we are in it !

I bought my 2 boys (5 and 2 and a half) Perth jumpers and a footy each for Xmas. I'll be dragging them along to games this year whether they like it or not. Granted I know they'll love it anyway

why are east freo and south "the heart and soul of Wa footy since the beginning"? we often seem to hear this stuff, it's disrespectful to the the other 6 clubs and it is a fantasy with no basis.

perhaps the rivalry between the 2 clubs has been around the longest Tiger?....who knows?......as for being disrespectful to others.....tell me the record crowd for a WAFL H&A game and GF?.....will be surprised if it's not a Freo derby......not saying SF and EF are the best or better...just saying nothing like a Freo derby to stir some WAFL passion and interest.....

but if it means EF and SF have to merge to survive than so be it.....no one can take the SF out of a SF fan.....or the EF out of a EF fan.....but I reckon most of these fans would rather see their club play in some form, than die out for ever......gonna be strange at first....but people adapt don't they.

Inevitable.... The AFL has two feet in the door now, if they don't like how your club is performing, your gone! Look at Tuggeranong in the NEAFL.

I'd hate to see any clubs merge, but it may be the only way very shortly. It may also turn what's left of the supporters away with a new entity.

As silly as it sounds, I'd rather if East and South merged, that they change code and apply for an NRL licence just out of spite!

They'd easy get 10,000 to a game - more than some of the Sydney based clubs.

Wouldn't be a first, didn't some WAFL clubs, or one in particular have a Rugby Union Heritage?

Once again!!!!
It's getting boring.

PFC are committed to an independent future AT LATHLAIN!!!!!!
The Town of Victoria Park worked very hard in negotiations to ensure PFC's future at Lathlain.
I believe eventually there will be a new 20 year lease for PFC.

PFC are 3rd on the list in terms of financially viable clubs (a result of a lot of very hard work over the past 15 years) and I can assure you the last thing we would want is taking on an ailing club.

It seems to me that right now the most vulnerable club is SD.

I hope they survive but they have a lot of work to do.

Another case of someone making a case for "their" club not to merge...

clearly wothout knowing the full machinations of what goes on behind the scenes.

Perth was one of the clubs that desperatley wanted to host club deal only to miss out to cross town rivals EP, so much for your theory of a club that is not vulnerable,

believe me if the right incentives were there, many clubs including Perth would be making some very quick phone calls.

Not sure where you get your information from Bazza.
Know a little more about the inner workings of a football Club than you may think.
Also know how little PFC wanted an alignment.
Never even talked about.
Oops yes there was one word, NO.
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It's the size of the fight in the dog.
Winning isn't everything. It's the ONLY THING !!!!!!
I shot the fukin sherriff!!!!

Hey Bazza, are you Kim Hagdorn?
He was spitting out that crap about Perth wanting to be a host club.

you are right about your first paragraph, its nothing disrespectful of the other clubs. the WA day derby still gets a crowd, and by comparison to crowds these days it is special. if both clubs are up & running they would still get 10,000 plus like they did just a few years ago.

but an EF/SF merger would never work. Or be logical. The barrier of the East & South is what makes that suburban line in the sand rivalry. No matter how diluted it may be today, it still has its place and relevance. I enjoy the amazing history and traditions of both clubs. Which goes back longer than 12 AFL clubs that are competing today. That is fact and it means something in my book.
