Just heard some very very disappointing news that Andrew Krakouer has been signed by West Perth for next season, after all SD have done for him, im gutted by this and all Swans fans will be too. Zero loyalty from someone who was virtually rescued by Swans

Yes Swandog, it is disappointing but it may be that Swans are now paying the ultimate price for the financial incompetence of the previous board. West Perth may have offered him far more than Swans were able to and Loyalty only goes so far. Hildebrant is gone and who else may follow him is not clear at the moment. I am already concerned that 2014 could be a bleak season on the field for Swans

Of all the players who come back from the AFL I would have thought he had the most to pay back to the club that supported him. Wonder how much he has left in his knees, might still be a blessing for Swans.

Hopefully Manning explains Chris Keunens nickname to him before his first training session or there could be a nasty mixup.

What makes it more disappointing was the announcement a few weeks back that he had committed to coming back to Swans and I think all Swans supporters would have rejoiced in that, only to be let down now. The only thing that would have changed that would have been an offer that Andrew couldn't refuse. Good luck to West Perth, they have obviously managed their finances better than Swans

This was a quote from Phil Smart in the West Australian on the 19th October

"Andrew has agreed to terms with Swan Districts and it will be dependent on whether he gets drafted back into the AFL or not," Smart said yesterday.

"If he doesn't get picked up in any of the drafts or trading then he will return to Swan Districts next year."

So what the hell happened Phil?

Is this correct, he is still a chance to be picked up in the draft !

Where is this info from swan dog? If true surely the article in the paper the other week was a ploy used by swans to deter other clubs from approaching him??

Can you tell me what swans have done for him? He just about won them Them a flag off his own back, won them a sandover medal and brought attention back to the wafl when it was becoming a little dull and boring!

Well I must admit I was a little shocked at this news, WP have never landed a high profile player in many years but have lost many of our players to other WAFL clubs such as Josh Smith and Troy Wilson, Seaby etc...it is good to have the shoe on the other foot for a change??

I feel for you Swans guys as I know what it is like to lose players you have had a lot of respect for, it is gut wrenching!

Anyway I welcome him to the nest and wish him the best at our club.
