That brings the Grand Final back to mid October or the latter half of the month. October weather is warm and more people seem to be out and about after the cold winter times. It would really put some focus back onto the competition Just a thought

Apparently we aren't allowed to, and that goes for the SANFL too..someone mentioned the FL have said they want to be the last GF of the year..I say Fark em!!

That proves the point SD. If the Wafl is being controlled out of Melbourne, what's the point of having a wa footy commission? Sounds to be a waste of space!
It would be great to see the seven remaining Wafl clubs speak up and make a bit of a stand on the issue. The same with the Sanfl because they seem to be more organized. Probably wishful thinking because it may be too late to do anything.

With the Crows and Power in the comp now this was part of the deal.
Their crowds will drop as well just like ours.

Can see the AFL thinking they want the AFL and SANFL/WAFL running in line with their clubs so the Finals teams in the AFL from SA or WA THE AFL clubs will still be able to run concurrently with their State clubs with changes and players returning from inj needing a run etc..
Only problem would be if their State sides are not in the finals I suppose so there is no logic there? Maybe they think their clubs will be in the finals every year :(
God help us

Like SwanDog I say fark them as the WAFC/WAFL are still running our state comp and can make their own decisions but we all know they are the LAPDOGS of the AFL

Then the AFL can pay each of the G7 clubs a $1 million dollars a year as a compensation payment not too play our GF in October otherwise as SD said ...fark em!! B)

gee the south aussies are miles ahead of the wafl jokers. the commission should be embarrassed

35K would have turned up to our GF mate if we had the weather they had yesterday!

15,000 is a massive difference - I seriously doubt it.

Once you get the dockers or eagles as serious finals contenders the WAFL GF becomes a non event, it gets swamped.

Even in bad weather a perth derby should of pulled 25,000.
