I understood what you were saying TFAF but basically it is a 10 team comp, hence the total of games played for each team is 18. I don't really see the point TBH of having a split table. What's the incentive? And it seems bizarre that say East Fremantle this season could finish on top of say Claremont or West Perth just because they were able to beat the Eagles and Dockers.

I do like the idea of everyone playing each other once though. That is the fairest way IMO to get an even competition. In previous years we have seen teams go to the likes of Perth and Peel and pick up extra wins because they had the luxury of playing those two teams six times throughout the season.

Because Joondalup Eagles and Mandurah Dockers teams are not traditional 8 WAFL teams and will be run and owned by AFL WC/Freo. They therefore should not play in the 125 year old WAFL. What's the incentive? And it seems bizarre that say East Fremantle this season could finish on top of say Claremont or West Perth just because they were able to beat the Eagles and Dockers. This sort of thing could easily happen. For example teams 3rd,4th and 5th on the WAFL ladder may really motivate themselves to win against the AFL aligned teams for reasons like playing well when it is a televised game(remember i am suggesting that Docker and Eagle TV will have to telecast their games)or beating the AFL boys or whatever.

Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

Docker and Eagle TV could broadcast the game, but home many people would go to a computer to watch the game?

I think that we need to promote the game more and to do this we need to go to a commercial station. I know that will upset a lot of people but it could bring in increased revenue through sponsors etc... They should have the game like foxtel do uninterrupted from siren to siren with ad breaks at quarter time, half time and three quarter time. The match of the day should be advertised on radio an TV from Sunday night and maybe there is even room for a half hour to an hour WAFL show on TV.

If there was a WAFL show or if the broadcast did go to a commercial station there would have to be a cameraman/woman at every game getting footage for either the show or a 2 minute package of all the days results for that nights news bulletin. Showing some footage is better than just reading out the scores.

Whilst I love the footy budget I do think that it could do with another couple of pages and articles added to it. A couple more player/coach interviews or maybe those q&a things like what is your favourite meal etc... could be included. An extra 1-2 features/articles on top of the feature peace already done would be brilliant and give clubs and the WAFL even more exposure than there currently is.

I know the clubs don't like the idea of giving away free tickets as they lose out on the money from the gate receipts but I applaud West Perth for thinking outside the box in regards to giving away the free tickets against the Sharks. They got 6195 people there or there about. Either way for a normal home and away game, anything these days over 4000-4500 is magnificent. I would like it to be higher but fact is it isn't and probably wont be.

A normal home and away game gets 2000 people. Now to make it simple everyone pays $15 admission. That's $30,000 for one game. Not bad money. If you were able to give away the tickets and get 5000-6000 at the game like West Perth did then you can say majority of the people will spend that $15 elsewhere. Either on merchandise, drinks at the bar for the adults and softies (carlton mid :P haha) for the kids or snacks etc.. I am sure that the club would be getting something from having the face painting, mr whippy and food fans at there grounds. If you were to say they all spent that $15 elsewhere then that's $75,000-90,000. Even if the clubs only made an extra $15,000-20,000 doesn't every dollar help the club?
