A silver lining in only one full match replay could be less exposure to the WAFL in regards to the MSD. Watching a bit of the Eagles Essendon game yesterday when their ruckman Draper went down with what looked like a season ending Achilles injury, one of the first things one of the commentators said was "they'll be looking for a ruckman in the mid season draft".

What that would mean is any ruckman picked up by Essendon will be taking Todd Goldstein's spot in the Essendon VFL side.
Get on your bike.
It was Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve.

Yeah Nah.
Goldstein is 36 and just a back up to Draper and Bryan who are gone for the season.
I doubt Goldstein will be able to play as a sole ruckman for the whole season.. He will have to be managed.
So whoever gets picked in the msd will be  someone who will be able to play Afl this year and not for the vfl team.
Maybe a former Afl footballer or a mature age state league player.

They can have the East Perth Ruck. 😉
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

Correct.
The only replay is Subi vs WP game and I'm not sure you would want to watch it.

Checked the AFL site today. Still got a WAFL section and all season 2025 games but only fixtures, results and stats. No videos. But if you click on season 2024 all match replays still there.

Full match replay of S v WP on 7+ and 3 Minis available - SF v SD, P v EF & EP v C.

We’d only get 1 game a week when ABC was covering the WAFL and no replays available.

We complain about not getting crowds to the WAFL, having every game available online will only hurt crowd numbers further.

Yep coverage is outstanding and leaves ABC for dead as you say one game, bugger all replays etc.

Also feeling attendances are seeming already low for our home games, club bar is virtually empty.  Perhaps its cost of living, or just age of supporters now.
