The WAFC wholly own the Eagles and Dockers not the WAFL. As we know and has been mentioned countless times on this forum the WAFC also oversees the running of footy in Western Australia. Regarding the WAFL though they are guilty of dereliction of duty. 

I landed in Helsinki last night and logged on this morning to see the Souths v FART result. Unlucky for Souths to strike Peel with unlimited AFL players but at least they drop back to restrictions from here on in although I'm not sure how it impacts on who's available and who's not.

AFL Partner Club Players Participating in WAFL Finals

An AFL Player may play in the WAFL Finals where:
i. his AFL Club is not participating in the AFL Finals match on the same weekend as his
WAFL Partner Club; and
a. the player must have played a minimum of six WAFL League matches; and
b. the player has played two (2) of the clubs last eight WAFL League home
and away matches; and
c. the number of qualified AFL players eligible to play does not exceed twelve
(12) AFL players.

The last quarter was a Chunder love fest from the umpires. They are too fit & strong

Shaping up like 2016/17 again, although they wont have the 16/17 listed players they had back then. Peelmantle had 13 listed players today and will be allowed a max of 12 next week v Cl. Whether they have that many qualified now that Freo are out is another question. One would think the lesser Freo players would have qualified, someone like Taberner would not have, so a slightly less forbidding task for CL.

Souths blew it in the first half with atrocious shooting at goal, the TV commentators said before halftime that it would come back to bite Souths given the significant difference in fitness and strength levels between the fulltime pro's and Souths part timers, and thats exactly what happened. Souths only had 1 more scoring shot in the end but if it was 9.4 instead of 4.9 to 2.5 at halftime, not sure Peelmantle would have had the interest to come back, but at 16 points it was up for grabs. Also I believe the free kick count was 25 to 17 Souths way, so cant complain about that.

Have to laugh that Nathan Wilson does not count as a Docker - because he is a Peel product! Has just resigned with the Dockers for another season mind you. But nope does not count against the quota. WAFC logic that is difficult for any other head to get around. Mostly because it is blatantly part of their scam. 

I think South will be kicking themselves today.Controlled a lot of footy in the first half.Terribly poor crowd for a Freo oval final.
Freo have been relegated from the AFL finals.Cant see why Peel have to load up with Freo players now.

Well flagmantle, or failmantle will go for it now.  Win the WAFL flag and they’ll have 2 coaches of the century 😏.

Yes, never been to a final with such a poor crowd and atmosphere, I honestly believe most people are chucking WAFL in big time with the AFL players at Peel and the impact that has.
