the name west coast. If you can have a Carlton and a Richmond you can have a Perth.

Ignoring senior games in the wall and sanfl

Having more than 14 teams. Dilutes the talent and makes for ridiculous scheduling.

Having the gap between the afl and the state leagues vast financially for the players
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

Fremantle having a reserves game cancelled and the league game between Subiaco and Peel shifted to Subiaco Oval the following day because Leederville Oval wasnt up to their standards for their precious players to set foot on.

In fairness Leederville can be very ordinary.
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It's the size of the fight in the dog.
Winning isn't everything. It's the ONLY THING !!!!!!

I was at that game and there were about 3 or 4 colts kids who almost did knees because the centre square was absolutely torn up. Props to Fremantle for pulling Peel out of it for mine.

Fremantle are soft anyway.
Luke Webster was put in place and paid for by WCE.
Who do you think paid most of East Perth's bills?

One mob somehow being allowed to stockpile $60 million+ and completely going against their initial purpose on formation in 1986- To keep ALL WAFL clubs profitable & WA players in WA!

The other mob should never have been formed in the first place, a bloody hopeless rabble on and off the park who must have wasted tens of millions of WA football money down the drain on overrated Victorians!

Kevin Speedy nailed this one on Wa's VFL expansion. Both WCE+Freo should of formed in 1991 like the Crows. With a moratorium on no players leaving Wa from 1986 too 1991.Because in Kevin's words we will have 1 powerful club and 1 also ran club. With 1987+1995 clubs formed.

Colts and reserves played on that surface, Subi league team, regarded as clearly the best team in the comp and some suggest the highest paid, had no issues with "risking" playing on that surface. Kyle Horsely did not have an issue and if he thought it was a danger to his team mates he would not have played on it. The worlds greatest coach had instructions from his masters to withdraw their players and did so without a whimper. If it was all non listed players in peel they would have played. At best Subi's players had not played more than half a dozen games at Subi oval whereas Subi oval was the home ground for all the Freo players who made up the vast majority of the team, so was a massive advantage to move the game to Subi oval, therefore significantly contributing to their narrow 4 point win.

Disgraceful opportunistic decision by Freo and the WAFC.

I think that it's more about what the weak as Piss WAFC have done to aid the AFL teams to do as they please and sit on their hands while the comp diminishes by the day
