Correct SS. Subi's league team were half way through warm ups when it was cancelled. As Freo played on the Saturday night it also released their emergencies to play against Subi on the Sunday....game over.

Perfect segway into my contribution. Peel/Fremantle also saw a need to consistently cheat the salary cap with their continued use of the brown paper bag. Will that stop in the future, not likely.

STT its all about destroying any perceived opposition to their empires. They know the Foundation day derby is the WAFL's biggest crowd draw outside of finals, so they are all about making sure they overpower it by demanding their own game on that day and then daring to call it it a WA Derby, these 2 mobs couldn't come up with an original idea if they tried.

The foundation day weekend should be primarily for WAFL footy, the traditional rivalry round, Su v CL, EP v Joondy, SD v Perth on the Sunday and the Freo Derby as a stand alone game on the Monday, WC & Freo can play ideally on Friday night, so all the hype can be done and dusted well before the Sunday and Monday games. They can play their reserves teams as the curtain raiser.
