Has anything been announced yet or is it just what you are anticipating? I know my club is looking at adding another couple of possible soon to be ex AFL players next year but if there is going to be a bigger pool of players from AFL and other second tier comps available then the salary cap and points cap system will need an overhaul.

Very interesting times and even more to sit back and watch what magnets attract players, particularly if the cashed up Subi end up with mysteriously adding.

According to JT at the West around 100 players will be cut at the end of the season across Australia. You'd think a chunk of those will want to keep playing and the WAFL should benefit. As DD said, points and salary caps will need to be modified as most clubs are near the limit now but the shambles that is the WAFC probably won't act until it's too late and the majority go to the VFL or SANFL.

AR the arrangement is in place for this year and given we're struggling to make the 4 I think the club has a good argument to get it lifted.

won't be the VFL in majority because they've amalgamated the NEAFL into the comp and there'll be less players on their lists and less clubs participating

DD pretty sure Vardy and Schofield would of been delisted anyway, if there wasn't any list number culling, both guys are 30 plus and cooked at the elite level....can see the SANFL benefiting more so then WA, as their comp looks a lot more switched on and proactive running wise then the WAFL....fingers crossed the WAFL gets their act together in time.

Yeah just what we need, just as the wheel turns and Subi fall away a bit pump them right back up again.

Yep ok a bonanza for the WAFL if we can afford them. Isn't the SANFL salary cap double or triple the WAFL salary cap?
