We had a great run with WP players who I suspect were on the outer for one reason or another, John Washfold, Ross Prunster and Joe Proctor.

Tony Pappoto from East Perth I wouldn’t call Watson a reject from Claremont, pretty sure he played in their 1981 premiership, as Ted mentioned Tropiano and Seebeck definitely fall under the reject category and go bang and win a Sandover the ultimate individual success, sadly it didn’t translate into team success.

A player we got from EF in the early 2000’s was very good, one of my favourites at the time Matt Kennewell I think was his name. A real bull and could hold down CHB or CHF.

Mark Washfold DD.
John Gavranich, Chris Stasinowsky (via SF) & Ray Holden were a few other handy players you blokes got from WP.

Yeh was gonna type Mark but for some reason thought no it’s John. Gavranich was a ripper. Not blessed with skill but a 100% er.

SS, Im not sure what JJim is going on about but I am 99% certain he played League for us, not sure how many but would have been under 5 games.

Leedy, I got the info off an article about Joel on the Subi website when he hung up his boots, good solid player but persistent injuries the last few years took their toll.

No big deal, like many players before, he went looking for more opportunities and landed in the right place.

shane cocker was not a regular at EP
Betts at CL
V Melville at S
Hamilton at S, feared for his spot at EP
Alexander at EF, unwanted by Dorrington
Loxley at EP before retirring to the Sunday League
Mick Ray at EP
What of Miller and Cable, did Perth reject them?

What about the reject from Claremont that won a Sandover for Swans?

DG: good one, I left out Carpenter only because I regarded him as poached; all the others, you mentioned, as you said, did some good things for us.

john townsend from South
clint roberts from the PFC
ian rackich cl

to be honest, during that era, EP had half a side poached off them

Who knows, maybe we'll come back to this thread in 2-3 years time and add Harry Quartermaine and Connor McPartland.
