Yep $ubi will win the flag this year most probably, was a kick in the guts for wafl followers that Sokol wasn't drafted. We can only hope that once Horsley and their other superb seniors are gone that their lack of financial superiority due to no longer having the ticketing deal will lead to a more even competition once again. The worry is that $ubi have made so much dough over the last twenty years that they will be forever financially superior to everybody else.

My delusions of grandeur have dissipated and we will probably have the same Subi, South exacta with Subi's winning grand final margin the only thing thats up for debate.

Wouldn't be getting too stressed about it. After all it was a practice match.

Correct wag and EF were probably missing more than we were today but one week out from the start of the season after an extended break you'd think coaches would be pretty much putting their teams for round one on the park with maybe one or two exceptions.

TOO..Pretty sure that was STT, MO and DF mantra mate...always laugh at why the Subi boys have to continually defend their clubs success to others....if it was any of us walking in their shoes, we wouldn't care one iota what they thought or anyone else thought....I guess with STT off the scene for a bit, the Subi whinging and moaning might go down a notch...but who knows if DF will step up and pick up the STT slack.

ToO the harder is just being harder at the ball and the man and frankly they are! If you add that to the only team having effectively a playing coach in Horsley they are just better!

Yesterday's match? Don't ask - shock loss to the sharks. Enthusiasm will only take Subi so far. They have done well to get this much out of the limited amount of talent that they have - but sadly they will definitely drop games during the season. As I tap this out I can almost hear the collective groans. They have won hearts and minds but they won't be winning any flags this year.
