Ok,
Had a quick opportunity to have a look at recent circular from WAAFL management regarding meeting on 21st Nov.

Dare say.... management 'explanation' for Option A decision seems to be lacking validity in many areas.

As i read it (and i profess will check out in more detail tomorrow) NO club what so ever that responded to feedback actually supported Option A?

Surely I have miss read that info?

No surprise that the clubs have called a special general meeting as a result of the Board endorsed the alternate model.

Reading through it, the GM wanted the Board to select Model A and got his way.

Hopefully an amicable resolution for most club's can be met.

I think for the development and growth of community football that is what we all wish.

However as i read circular....WAAFL management is stating "Their idea" of a level and fair 'playing field' is the fact we hae grades?

I hear option A has been given the boot and the clubs have voted for option B

Well done to all those who spoke up and didn’t just accept a poor decision by people who are in it for themselves.

For anybody who was in attendance can you confirm with respect to each of the following:
(1) Was there any adjustment to the points allocation per team
(2) Is the points allocation the same for each grade
(3) Does the one (1) point credit for each year of service kick in at the start of the second year now?
I never quite understood why clubs couldn't apply the points credit for each year of service in the original proposal until the start of the 3rd year? It seems an unnecessary administrative burden to apply it in that manner.

There were no discussions last night about the points allocation for Option B, but my guess would be that WAAFL have already done the modelling. They are meeting on Saturday and, again, my guess only. I would expect to see a discussion paper/request for feedback come out shortly. I hope that this time, that more than 5 Clubs provide feedback.

Points are allocated to league teams only in all grades from A down to C4. I have never heard a suggestion that different grades be treated differently. Should such a proposal be made, I would think it would be howled down.

There was no discussion about when loyalty points would cut in.

In accordance with the Constitution (which would be the same in most Clubs) the SGM last night only discussed the motions put.

Well there goes the comp i hope 80% of clubs are willing not to sign any new players and tell a portion of players that played the last game this year that they cant play for their club as the graph of clubs and each points it had there were only 10 or so on or under the 30 points. Either a new league will start up or clubs (especially ones without colts team or struggling to field resies) will become extinct and shut there doors. A grade the pinnacle of the comp to suffer immensely its very disappointing
