Thanks Boothead you good gent or lass, MrM is not so sure, either way thanks for kicking things off.
It is fair to say it has been another interesting week in regards to WAAFL B Grade football. I am glad that there has been plenty of chatter, because it makes for good fun and is keeping MrM entertained throughout his holiday. MrM is not sure how long can we keep this up though, with some blatant flaunting of the rules, I am sure that the WAAFL is across everything, so no need to fear all.
It is close to June 30th though where I am sure we will see a flurry of activity with people wanting to get cleared before the deadline...which usually almost never happens, but we await and see.
In some good news for all MrM has booked his flight back to the great land of the US of A so local football clubs can rest easy as MrM will not be as critical. In actual fact MrM may not even make the trip down to Kelmscott this week given the weather and location, can you blame MrM? We await and see what will happen.
Let us have a look at this weekend’s fixture.
Collegians v North Fremantle @Dalkeith Oval
It is crunch time for the boys at “The Shank” this weekend as they desperately need a win to keep their season alive. It is university holidays a time when the collegiate boys usually struggle with numbers but they need a win this weekend, but it will not come easy as they face North Freo. The Maggie Army are on the march and will be disappointed with last weekend’s performance. MrM hopes for a good match, perhaps we could see an upset, you never know, but we will go with what we know.

Maddington v Mt Lawley @Harmony Fields
Maddington did a great job of winning last weekend as they look to avoid relegation and remarkably enough they can still play finals with a late run here. They will face a tough task here though as they face a Mt Lawley side looking to cement themselves in the top 5. It was good to see both “Brothers of Destruction” in action last weekend as they easily accounted for Stirling. If they are both in action this weekend, could be a big win, if its only one, they will have a marginal win.

Kelmscott v Wanneroo @John Dunn Memorial Oval
Kelmscott once again flaunted the rules and it cost them, can only imagine what that does to player moral. Wanneroo will want to maintain their recent form here, and I can see that happening.
Sorry for the short write-up not much to say.

Hamersley Carine v Swan Athletic @Percy Doyle Reserve MOTR
A big game for both clubs here which sees this as this weekend’s Match Of The Round.
Hamersley Carine will need a win here or they face the prospect of falling behind in the race for the finals. A loss last weekend meant they slipped up and fell down and will be out to rebound against a side they have had the wood over in recent memory. Swan Ath came off a good win last weekend and should be looking to keep that up this weekend. Swan Ath did lose against Hamersley last time around, but that should be reversed here.

Stirling v Kingsway @Richard Guefli Reserve
A big game for Stirling here with Maddington winning last weekend if they want to avoid relegation they will need to win too, it means there is a few big weeks coming up for the Saints. They renew their big rivalry with Kingsway here, who although ended up winning last weekend, suffered a loss in a game they should have won. I am sure the Roos will be ready to go this weekend, but it probably won’t be easy for them. I can see a close game, but Kingsway to pull away late.

Good luck to all this weekend.
