I am pretty sure that the deadline has passed for new clubs to apply to enter the WAAFL next year.

Has anyone heard of any clubs looking to come in - I think Innaloo is looking to field a Reserves side next year.

Also, are any side looking to come up from E1 - there could be a vacancy depending on whether Swan View end up in C3 or E1.

Swan View will not be in C3 that's clear. If the board is being nice they possibly could be accepted in to E grade.

What is the likelihood for future growth in the suburbs in the coming years?

What suburbs are not far away from forming clubs in either the north and south and potentially fielding sides in the WAAFL?

We have seen Southern River relocate to the burgeoning Piara Waters area and there are other estates that are popping up around the place on both sides of the Swan.

We do have a few clubs around us like Osbourne park, north beach, Scarborough, warwick greenwood and west coast. It does make it hard to get players because most of them only want to play Saturday. most of our players are guys who work Saturday and thats one reason we wouldn't play Saturday.

does the relegation system apply for the E grades? or are they just keeping all single sides in E1?

hopefully swan view stays up, E1 is becoming hell for SOR teams haha

I think they are aiming to have only the one-team clubs in E1.

Anyone correct me if I am wrong as the by-laws don't definitively state it, but I think that E2 and E3 Grades are nominated by clubs, but the previous season's performances are taken into consideration.

I don't think having all of the one team clubs in E1 was any fairer than anything tried in previous years, as I'm sure ECU would agree.

Kingsway won the E3 premiership in 2014, runners up in E2 in 2015, premiers in E2 in 2016.

There is no easy fix, as clubs going from 2 teams to 1 can either lose top end talent or bottom end talent. Will Forrestdale's lack of success in C4 enable them to have 2 teams next year, and how many teams can they fit into a 1 team grade?

I'm more than sure that if you had two senior teams then the lowest you can be is C4/C4R, even if that meant more than 10 teams in those grades.

I have taken into account ECU's poor form and Swan View dropping out of the C3 campaign early in the season.
Of course the 2017 season is still a way off so anything can happen.
Does anybody have any info yet?
