This is a hard one.

We have the choice between a competition formatted this way, or one where Colts will have 6 byes.

If Colts have 6 byes, interest will wane rapidly and all the clubs concerned will lose players - either they will quit football altogether (for this year only we would hope) or move to a Club where they can play every week. You simply cannot fit 30 odd Colts players into other teams on those weeks.

I accept that it is going to be difficult to get the necessary volunteers, umpires, trainers, etc.

The situation at my Club will be no different to others in this regard - but I don't seriously believe there is a choice.

Pleased to see that Canning Vale will have a Colts team this year but very disappointed to see that after all the effort Lynwood Ferndale have put in, they were unable to get a side up.

Yeah i can understand the decision they have made with the new format but will make it hard for teams that have a lot of double up colters as some games are very far away, and the boys dont want to be riving from one end of Perth to the other

Disappointing with 3 sides puling out of colts in C2. Too many teams in the same area's to blame? Junior teams around the place seam to be depleted too... Something isnt working

Pretty sad state of affairs in C2 ammo's.

They WAAFL re jigged the fixtures almost instantly and sent everyone all over the shop.

There are talks from a few clubs and people are trying to have another crack at it to make it more workable.

Colts is dying as well as Yr 12 Comps.

Perth, East Perth and Swans districts all combined last few years to get enough Yr 12 and Yr11 sides.

Same with East Freo, South Freo and Peel now also.

Auskick is going great guns so participation in AFL is awesome.

Wake up people soon it will be straight to an E grade or into a Reserves and League from Yr 12.

If you play against men in colts its no different now anyway.
