Will Thornlie make amends after tripping at the finish line in 2015?
Balla, View and Coolies to have the North of the river stoush.
A few rivalries south bound too.

Hopefully Gozzy can lift up and have a big year! A proud club with a 100 year plus history shouldn't be in C2 Ammos that's for certain
Beneath the Southern cross i stand, on Bassendean Oval, can in hand, Swan Districts, you Farkin Beauty!

Balljaura addig another side this year means they must have a fair few numbers on the track. Their colts have been good for a number of years so if they have kept a few of them they might be a smokie.
Thornlie big bodies are always going to be there abouts.
Have heard gossy have recruited quite well and should play finals.
Canning bic park to also improve on last year but with no colts depth may become an issue!

Having seen Ballajura a few times over the past couple of seasons, I have always been impressed, particularly with their coaching structure. They should go well.

Have never seen Thornlie, but a long standing rivalry between them and Gosnells will be interesting. There are rumours of reasonable pre-season form.

Gosnells league squad was decimated last year - 16 or 17 league players moved on. This forced the club to top the league team up using colts and reserves players. Recruiting should mean that this won't happen this year, but the club now has a colts squad with a fair bit of league experience, with strong backup from the reserves squad.

A number of clubs across the grades have had to withdraw their colts teams. This does not auger well for the future of those clubs or the future of the competition.

High Wycombe is always an interesting battle, but they have appeared to aim from premierships in reserves and/or thirds if it becomes apparent that their league team is not travelling well.

Internal issues plagued Canning South Perth last year. Will be interesting to see if they have got over them.

Warnbro has had lots of depth in the past. A step-up in grade may be a challenge, dependent upon their recruiting.

Swan View is another proud club, but is this a step too far?

Lynwood Ferndale had a shocker last year, but have put huge efforts into their colts. It may not pay off this year, but the future looks good.

Coolbina West Perth could be the dark horse. They have put up a thirds team this year which suggests improving depth within the club.

I suspect Canning Vale will struggle again this season, however they have recruited. Not having a colts team (I hear) will hurt in both the long and short term.

Anyone from Canningvale able to confirm that they have dropped their colts side for this year, if true that would leave C2 with 7 colts teams. Future of football is a concern unless we can find a way to attract 17 to 20 year olds back to footy

yes they did drop there thirds nearly half way into the season last year due to injuries and players moving away.
there colts (formally known as Maali) played out the year but also struggled and have now moved on to Nollamara.

My word from Canning is the new coach was keen to clean up the club with the old coach in charge of the thirds and causing some issues. All news is positive with Mali being a burden on the club financially and atmosphere on game day. One player told me good numbers and a second year with ex WAFL player in charge is all positive. I've only seen one practice game and they looked good against B grade team. Injuries were rife last year.

In other news Gosnells apparently spending big to bounce back and swan view is looking good to consolidate coming up. Canning Vale not having colts would be a surprise with their big local zone.
