Someone needs to tell the boys it isn't about them, its about the footy. Same old story really isn't it. Some decisions left me scratching my head and the ones that weren't paid were blatantly obvious.
I don't ask for much really, alls you need is to pay the obvious ones, and don't search for the iffy ones. This isn't the AFL.

Cheapshots shows how little you know. The three guys umpiring that game are all experienced A grade umpires who only pay the obvious. Decisions are about correct interpretation and just because you dont agree does not mean they are incorrect.

Oooo seems I hit a nerve with the major here! Firstly I was a non biased observer.
How dare I not recognise an A grade umpire when I see one! I'll start to jot down their names and appointments so I can get to know them.
Wasn't the only one who thought some of their decisions were questionable.
If they were any good they would be umpiring higher than a C1 prelim.
Its not my first rodeo mate, I know my footy and been around umpiring a long time. Was just something I noticed. If you didn't want honest feedback, you shouldn't have started this thread.

Yeah but if the umpiring in your opinion (and it is just your opinion) was top notch on the day would you have bothered to post ?

Good, so many critics these days pick out an umpiring error over all the good umpiring prior to that and the worst are the TV callers in the AFL who are setting a bad example.

Not saying you did that though CS.

I was at a game on the weekend when an idiotic comment was made to the Umpires leaving the ground at half "that there is 2 teams out there" when the team he supports was 40 points up. Absolutely NFI, people like that really annoy me

You wouldn't happen to be a disgruntled Kingsley supporter by any chance?

Cheapshots you really are showing your ignorance mate. A grade uses 15 field umpires each week during the H&A rounds. There were only two A grade games last week so of course the other nine field umpires did B, C1 & C2 league games.

You are certainly entitled to share your opinion anytime you like. Doesn't necessarily mean you are correct though. But hey that is what the forum is all about, makes for interesting reading. :P

Nah mate like I said I was an un-unbiased supporter with no affiliation to any team playing that day.
I just thought it was ordinary both ways, especially early in the game.
Just honest feedback.

So rare to find an unbiased supporter at an amateur game!

Luckily the umpires are unbiased also!

Watched the c3 game and it did look a bit crowded with 3 umpires, maybe a smaller oval, Brad Nairn and co were okay.

I did put my name down to umpire in the first 2 weeks but nothing. Watched 5 finals (11 umpires)and im much better than 8 of them.

40 games umpired this year and 1 to go B)
