RESERVES - BALLAJURA vs SNESA

WC COLTS - JANDAKOT vs BELMONT

With Ballajura gaining promotion and booking their place in the big dance last week it now sees Eelenbrook and Swan View going toe to toe for the chance at September glory. Hopefully we don't get too much if any rain as Coolamon is known to not handle a downpour too well.

Last week The Eels got done by 39 points despite having 1 more scoring shot so they had their chances to make more of a game of it but Balla had a bit more class and polish when it counted. The View got through by the skin of their teeth and some might suggest they were lucky but Piara definitely had more than enough opportunities to win the game but The View found a way. The good thing for The View is that there should be plenty of improvement still in the team as last week a few of their better players had little to no impact.

So this week both teams will need to play a fair bit better in order to get the win! The 2 meetings so far this season have seen a narrow win to the Eels at home and then Swan View returned the favour the next time around but it was an absolute pasting. From those 2 encounters I take from it that The Views best is better than The Eels.

This contest will be won around the stoppages/clearances. If The View can break even at worst then I think they will get the ball inside 50 enough to kick a winning score. We already know they have the best defence in the comp but they have some classy fwds who can turn a match also. Quick ball movement and entries will be the key to exploit the lack of pace that Eelenbrook has.
On the other hand the Eels probably have some size about them which they will need to use. If their big men have an off day then I don't think they can win.

So,the big question is,are The View full strength? If they are then I think they should be too good by 5-6 goals. If they are missing a few then I still think they can get it done but by under 10 points.

Congrats to Ballajura-By far the best team in C3 and as I've said all along they are the best positioned club to go up to C2 and be competitive. Whoever wins this Saturday will have to do some serious work on and off field in order to stay up in c2 next year!

Nice post maddog, Also congrats to Ballajura as has been mentioned numerous times they are the best side in C3 and will take some beating on 12/09, however they can be beaten so we wont give them the flag just yet

This week ill pick Ellenbrook in the league and SNESA in the reserves.

Congrats to Swan View on their win last week, they were better than us last Saturday, and while both sides had their chances they were in front at the end of the game, and they will get a chance to play off in the GF on Saturday.

I don't think they will have enough intensity to beat Ellenbrook, who I think because of depth are slightly above the view in regards to going to C2 and not making up the numbers.

Ill back SNESA in a fairytale in the reserves, sorry to say Whitey, if they kicked straight last week that would have been very won sided and over a lot earlier than it was.

Reserves - Ballajura. Although SNESA did play well last week (although not accurate in front of goal) I still think Ballajura have them covered.

A possible late storm this evening will have Coolamon looking good while the 20-30% chance of showers on Saturday night make the ball a little bit slippery. Should make for good viewing from my spot near the bar - see you there PH.

You won't be able to walk if it's raining so you might have to get the minister for war & finance to drop you off....

at least if she does that i can have a beer or 6 although got a busy night Saturday night so can't go overboard.

PH - after 3/4 time some players lost their shit, one umpire in particular lost his shit, balla capitalised and they won. They weren't in the game really and should never have won.
