I think if a waterboy or spectator runs into a melee the umpire has every right to push them out of it. Same if a player was unconscious on the ground and a melee spilled onto the player or he was getting struck, the umpire has some duty of care to protect that player surely?

The fact Dogs10 isn't denying the king hit happened and the boy was asked by the WAAFL if 3-4 weeks is fair its looks like it was a dirty, cowardly hit no matter what provoked it.

Isn't denying it because yes he did swing. Honesty goes a long way why don't they ask the full truth from warnbro because we all know who started it off from a cheap shot while the high Wycombe player was getting up from being tackled the warnbro player hit the high Wycombe player as he was getting up but hey that never gets mentioned because (he didn't get knocked out) as the high Wycombe player was hit the warnbro crowd all cheered like a feral pack of monkeys.2 wrongs don't make a right I understand,

I'm sure the witnesses from both club who saw it would have loved to put there version of what they saw happen but hey the investigation was stopped in its track without them being asked. Umpire free to keep on umpiring.

There you go again more unsubstatiated crap. Maybe as you say the investigation was stopped because there was no case to answer.

I am so sick of seeing the BS about HWAFC - I've been around hills football for nearly entire life. Yes the club did get a bit of a thug name I believe from a couple of years ago in a GF and you can see the club has undergone some major rebuilding since. I know a lot of the players and members at that club including the President and his family (who is by no means a joke in any way possible and would be an asset to any club lucky enough to have them). High Wycombe have had their fare share of tough physical rivals like the club my young fellas play for! But no matter what happens on the field they a generally a good group of young boys! WS have a name for themselves as well when it comes to the out of control spectators. If this was a round house king hit from behind like its been labelled then it is within my experience to know that not just 3-4 weeks would be offered.
How about rather than just giving a whole club 'The full of thugs' label because of one incident on the field, be thankful that that one incident wasn't as severe as a young man from WS area had inflicted on a young superstar out and about a couple of years ago!
Give it a rest guys - get over it and get on with it. This is looking to be a very interesting finals series I think.

Unsubstantiated crap. I am just passing on the info as it was related to something mentioned in these post. Reason was something to do with not enough force to cause injury to the player, no mention of it not happening. Draw your own conclusion.

They cop it because they are guilty of it, simple as that. They are the dirtiest club in Western Australia by a mile. Punnching, scratching, spitting and even biting have all been things encountered against this club. Not one offs either.
