The inclement weather saw a couple of critical upsets. Kelmscott locked up their spot in the finals with a fantastic 8 point win over Uni. North Beach returned to their good form of late with a morale boosting 19 point win against Wesley and Nth Freo kept alive their prospects of staying alive in A Grade with a clutch win against West Coast. Finally TA's with a solid 24 point win against CBC have pinched top spot over Uni.

Well its going to be an interesting last 2 rounds of footy in A grade
surprise win by kelmscott anyone see the game or any info on it it puts a dent in unis hopes of top spot and puts them back in the race for the top 3 with wesley and cbc and what another surprise at the other end in the relegation battle with nth freo knocking off west coast which have totally gone off the boil 2nd half of the season
Well after the weekends round im not even going to try to predict how the season ends but its been very quiet on here for awhile so wpuld be great to read some more chatter about games and performance

Looking at the Ressies score, Kelmscott better pray they don't get any injuries between this week and the elimination final!

Did North Beach pick up any players just prior to the 30th June. They seem like a completely different side?

The clearance lists are a very open and easily accessible thing, who did North Beach pick up?? Players coming through the ranks don't need clearances though remember so it might be hard to locate where the form or as you say cash went

Agree with you, S Train - saw North Beach on the weekend and my take on it is they are a very young side who have taken a period to get used to the pressures of A Grade football. They are still likely to have periods of inconsistency but are getting better as the year goes on - as Skello noted, clearance lists are very open and there are no significant recruits to explain their improved form. You will find that is the same for most sides and the dollars assumption becomes tiresome. Kelmscott's form variance can also be explained by a few key FIFOs in their team. Do not think they have the same depth as the other top 5 sides, but their top half a dozen are as dangerous as any side going around and can really take a hold of a game. If they are all on the park come finals time, no other side will want to be meeting them. Doubt they can repeat their B Grade effort of last year in sustaining that over 4 weeks, but will make any of the top 4 nervous. Shaping as a terrific finals series with no side standing out and every side capable of beating their opponent on the day.
