PH may have taken the thrill out of winning a close one but you take the points are run, especial against another side fighting for that top spot and potentially home finals at the pointy end of the season..

Don't dispute that Cantbuyagoal, no doubt the result will have a huge bearing on things towards the end of the season, its just a different way to win a game of footy, and not one you come across. We were consoling for a loss and preparing to rebound next week and then found out that we had won.

When things settle down you then start to think the last few minutes through and wonder how it may have turned out differently if the scoreboard was correct.

I.E. would we have attacked so hard knowing we had a 7 point lead?
Would Ballajura have put all their numbers behind the ball if they knew they still needed a goal to win, or would we have had to do that.......
Would we have panicked trying to control a lead and turned the ball over rather than just trying to attack at all costs to get in front?

It just makes you wonder how different the last 5 minutes could have played out with a correct scoreboard.......

it just makes you wonder about the result that's all.

Obviously all the talk is ballajura v Pwaters, but how has Cockburn lakes umpire not been a topic of conversation this season ? I guess as they arent winning games , but wow, appreciate it is hard to find umpires and he has put his hand up etc, but he shouldn't be umpiring ! He can't run further than 10 metres and was simply guessing or making up calls, both teams at numerous times had no idea what he was doing, I actually felt bad for Cockburn with some of calls he made in their favour, quite a lot of thir players were embarrassed.

Anyway , what a close season ! I don't think anyone could lay claim to premiership favourites at this stage , the finals series is going to be a cracker and double chances all that more important ! Huge second half to the season comin up!

From my spot on the hill I believe I saw a league official or umpire coach of some sort chatting to the Cockburn ump @ half time....... Pity he left after the 3/4 time break and missed the last 25 minutes....
