Great game between Ballajura and Piara Waters. Got to feel for the Balla boys who were in front on the scoreboard at the end but not on the goal umpires scorecards. They were 3/4 the the way through their song when they heard they had lost by a point. Both side were very hard at it and definitely the best game I have seen this season.

They were singing the song and got told mid-way they lost? Brutal. How much did they think they won by before the score was corrected?

Interested to hear what happened,I'm sure PH will fill us all in.
Amazing that 3 games were deiced by less than 5 points in total. Shows how even the comp is this year and a few ins and outs either way can make a huge difference. That being said,none of the bottom 5 have beaten any of the top 5 yet.
I only saw the last qtr of the Swan View vs Snesa game.
From all reports Snesa got a quick start and led by 5-6 goals. The View pegged them back to be a foal down at half time. 3rd qtr see The View dominate and take a goal lead in the last qtr.
the last qtr saw The View control general play but were sloppy going fwd and allowing Snesa to counter attack. A few lead changes and Snesa had a set shot 30 out 45* with 30 seconds to go but missed. The View were in no hurry to get the ball and that was all she wrote.
A good win by The View who were missing no less than 4 of their starting 18,3 of which are quality players,not sure when they'll be back.
If they can get anywhere close to their best team then they could be the surprise packet,that being said they could also be vulnerable when FIFO strikes.

Ripping game mad dog,

Interesting finish, we don't keep score and going by the scoreboard we thought the goal they kicked with about 40 seconds left put them in front, well it did on the scoreboard anyway.

We were having a chat about playing in such a great game and there was no fault with loosing when someone came out and said the scoreboard was wrong and the umpires wanted to chat to both coaches.

We were told that both scorecards were the same and the scoreboard was wrong, Piara winning by a point. Were still not sure how to take the result, its a different way to win and not something enjoyable.

cheers to the ballajura boys for the game and the beers afterwards. they handle themselves with pure dignity considering the way the game ended. I think the felt a bit confused like we did about everything
