Well what an interesting round 6 proved to be with SNESA scalping their first win of the season over a depleted Noranda, perhaps due to the loss of their tall ruckman through that psychopathic aggression towards an official. Anyway this isn't about round 6. New round to look forward to with Carlisle and Canning Vale being the definite teams contending this year with Thornlie not far behind.

So let's take a look at this week's fixtures

Bassendean v SNESA
SNESA coming off a gutsy win over Noranda look to be in the right track but I think Bassendean's defence will be too strong for this side and will keep their score to a minimum and easily defeat them. Bassendean by 10 goals

Noranda v Canning Vale
Not much to say, Noranda and poorly out of form. Canning Vale to get the job done by 12 goals

Swan Valley v Coolbinia
I think with Swan Valleys home ground advantage they should win this fight but it will be a close match. Swan Valley by 2 goals.

Mosman Park v Thornlie
Thornlie coming off 4 wins in a row will be full of confidence but it may lead them to a be a bit over confident, close match this I think but in the end I think Thornlie will come home strong in the final quarter. Thornlie by 5 goals

Warnbro Swans v Carlisle
Long way to travel for Carlisle but you just can't look past their current form they are in control of C2. Carlisle by 8 goals.

Basso vs SNESA
Basso seems to be on the slide and will meet SNESA with nothing to lose and confidence from a big comeback win. Might be a case of the right time, right place.. SNESA by 2 goals.

Noranda vs Canning Vale
CV too strong.. Will win by plenty.

Swan Valley vs. Coolbinia
Interesting game, toss of the coin for me. Coolbinia in a close one.

Mossie Park vs Thornlie
Thornlie to keep rolling on

Warnbro vs Carlisle
Carlisle are a powerhouse in C2 this year, will win comfortably.

BlockYaHole....

I think it may be prudent to hold off on saying which teams are favourites etc at this time of the year until at least Round 9 when every team has played one another.

From a CV point of view, we were 5-0 last season but had not played Canning, Quinns or Warnbro. We will plod along quietly until Round 9 then re-asses where we would like to be come the end of the Home & Away season.

Last year Mossie Park were 0-4 before they had a 10-win streak, only losing to eventual Premiers Quinns.

This year, we are 5-1 (losing to Thornlie Round 1) but have not played Noranda or Carlisle.

Early days yet and with results like SNESA/Noranda over the weekend, I am hoping for an extremely competitive year by all teams.

Completely agree wth you!
Honestly I don't think we can talk about favourites until the top 5 are signed sealed and delivered!! You just need to look how easily things can change over a short period of time for teams! Few injuries, couple holidays and your back to square one!
Few big games coming up for the top 3 over the next 3-4 weeks (thornlie V warnbro / CV v Carlisle)
Personally I'm happy with anyone in the top 5 other than Noranda.... Few spastics in that team!

Was down at the CV v Warnbro match on the weekend.

I saw an incident in the Magoo's which was a low act from a certain Warnbro player.

What followed was a CV player stretchered off and and all in scuffle & huff n puff.

The said offender ran to the bench and hid behind everyone and then after some forthright comments from some not to impressed CV players managed to get his girlfriend to collect his bag so he could bolt over the hill into the car.

These are the tools who need rubbing out and the umps need to address this with a red card.

To everyone else from Warnbro who supported the CV Beyond Blue Day we thank you for support on the day.

Ha If your account is true Disco Night then I have 1 thing to say to that.....

Thats pretty fucking brave isnt it?????? King hitting someone is weak as piss, but to then sneak off the field, hide behind the bench and get your missus to get your gear bag from the rooms, Man what a brave young fellow he really must be.

Warnbro must be proud to have someone like that associated to their club

I hope if the umpires didnt see it that your club put in a notice of investigation through the league, or better yet your club took this issue up with Warnbro and they have moved their player on from their club.

If what you have said is true then its a fair dinkum disgrace, and even worse if Warnbro know about it and do nothing to the player.

I would be interested to hear from someone from warnbro for their side of the story

This is a good place to out the weak dog, surely someone saw his number, sporting pulse will give us the rest. Go the good old name and shame, plus anyone else who plays them in the future can see if his playing and put him on the end of some 80's specials.
