For the request of a review in the Reserves Brentwood vs Osborne Park.

Osborne Park started better and kicked the first goal, although Brentwood fought and got it back to be 2-3 points down at the 1/4 time. Osborne Park controlled the second keeping the Dogs goalless and getting three for themselves. Half time Osborne Park 4 goals up. 3rd quarter was very even with the Parkers getting 2 goals to Brentwood's three. Half way through the third seemed to change momentum Brentwood's way. In the last quarter Brentwood were able to keep Osborne Park goalless, and kick away the deficit to end up 5 points up when the siren sounded. Physically it was a harder game than other ressies games and it didn't look like either team gave up all day.

The league game, OP got the first 3 or 4 goals, with BB waking up and fighting back. At quarter time not sure of the score but I think it was around 3 points to the Parkers. Tight 2nd and 3rd quarter and pretty evenly matched being level at half time and Brentwood up by 8 points at 3/4. In the forth Brentwood found another gear and kicked away to make the game look more one sided than it was.

The Osborne Park boys were good, bought a good crowd down and hung around making a decent contribution to the bar sales for the day.

Wembley forfeit? Geez, wonder what the go is there!

well well well, jandakot have thrown a cat amongst the pigeons!! wonder if swan view rested a couple too many? not taking anything away from jandakots win, but having top spot sewn up would make sense to me to give a couple sore bodies a rest.

As RJ said OP vs brentwood game was much closer than the relsut looked, we just maanged to kick away in the end.

looking forward to another must win game this weekend and thanks to the OP boys for hanging a round for a beer after. Hopefully big red has gotten over his issue with people trying to trip him over

Not sure I've heard of too many sides that rest players; or players at our level who like to be rested. Especially if you are already guaranteed top spot and a week off...

They may have had a couple of guys injured; but according to some of their guys - we just smashed them. They couldn't get their structures going, couldn't get any run off their 1/2 back line as we put too much pressure on and they were continually turning the ball over.

Swan View are class and will be stronger in finals when they have a couple of injured players and maybe FIFO players return, but I think there'd be few that watched the game that didn't think the scoreboard was probably a little kind to Swan View in the end. 4.8 should have been closer to 10 I'd think. Won all quarters.

Jandakot missed some easy shots and also conceded some goals in Deep Dark Red time which they shouldn't have.

The Swamplands are a pretty hard place to play if you're not familiar with them - especially this late in the year when the surface isn't crash hot and if you don't have your gumboots on you're going home really water logged!

P.S. Ressies close early, but Swan View missed some easy chances, then just too far behind to mount a real challenge. 4 in a row for the Jets in the Magoos - really starting to hit our straps. Just disappointing to have lost 3 games by under a goal, otherwise we'd be right in with a finals shot.

I could be wrong, but the WAAFL website says the magical 90 - 1 scoreline for the Game.

your not wrong there mate wembley had to forfiet the ressies as supposedly the b team has a lot of injuries. good to see alot of ressies actually playing league for wembley they did themselves proud.

the game for league was to be honest not that interesting we took a couple of goals to head in 1/4 time and then every quarter after that we just added the two or three extra than they did and ended up comfortable winners.

Good game by both ressies and league down at the swamp. League game was good all day jets just used the mud and reeds alot better than the blokes from the view. The swamp seen its annual jandakot cup on Saturday night and everyone was in high spirits after the big win.
Back on the track now and concentrate on winning my bet against the boys from Brentwood
