Swan Valley (C2) 0.0 0.0 0.0 15.10 (100)
Kenwick (C2) 0.0 0.0 0.0 12.14 (86)

Mosman Park (C2) 0.0 0.0 0.0 11.14 (80)
Bassendean (C2) 0.0 0.0 0.0 9.10 (64)

Snesa (C2) 0.0 0.0 0.0 16.10 (106)
Manning Rippers (C2) 0.0 0.0 0.0 5.11 (41)

Canning South Perth (C2) 0.0 0.0 0.0 10.7 (67)
Quinns District (C2) 0.0 0.0 0.0 13.10 (88)

Warnbro Swans (C2) 0.0 0.0 0.0 15.18 (108)
Canning Vale (C2) 0.0 0.0 0.0 7.3 (45)

So the Valley boys just get over the Royals, Mosman Park surprisingly beat Bassendean posing the question whether Basso are a week-to-week proposition with their FIFO players, SNESA back on the winning list with Harris back in the team kicking 12 of their 16 goals, Quinns keep on rolling and Warnbro teach the Cougars a football lesson.

Tough day for the Cougars, losing all three games for the second consecutive week.

Colts;
Warnbro 10.10.70 - Canningvale 6.10.46
First three quarters were close in blustery conditions only for Warnbro to win the final quarter against the wind. Pretty scrappy game really, and I know our boys will be disappointed as I think they lost this game more than Warnbro won it. We had a few of our colts out playing for East Freo against the state 16's side. Saying that, Warnbro clearly wanted it more and well done to them!

Reserves;
Warnbro 20.24.144 - Canningvale 1.5.11
Another tough game for our twos. They will keep rocking up each week and fighting. They are the backbone of our club and we applaud them each week for their effort. Just didn't have the cattle to match Warnbro who now are the best Reserves team I have seen (I said Canning were last week). Number 60 from Wanrbro absolutely blitzed it and one would ask why he didn't play League.

League;
Warnbro had much of the play for the whole game but it was relatively close for the first three quarters only for Wanrbro to put the foot on the pedal in the final stanza and really show us the level we need to be at if we want to be contenders in September. At the end of the game we had one on the bench so we are very much looking forward to the weekend off where we can lick our wounds and re-group for our biggest test so far in Quinns in two weeks.

A very sore Loves-A-Goal wishes everyone a happy weekend off.
Loves kicking goals, passing them off is only an option.

Our two fifo players didn't play against warnbro, we had a dog of a day out at mossie yest with 4 players pulling out sat morn due to work and illness . I think we had 7 colts play league in the end 4 played in the colts game too , not taking anything away from mossie they deserved the win as they play there ground well and we were second to the ball all day.
Our discipline let us down several times which resulted in goals each time(50m penalties are costly on that ground). Back to square one for us as it undoes last weeks win. Hopefully get a few players back after the bye

Bazz sounds like a few things went against you. Do you think the previous week against Warnbro took its toll, or just one of those days? Where do you see your year heading, is it all positive and happy up there? Thought you would of beaten Moss , agree though their oval should be for junior football.

Unfortunately one red was handed to us due to a player havin a brain snap, also a yellow for wrestling to another of ours too in a separate incident . Obviously the red is unacceptable cos there's no place for that crap. But the other discipline issues I spoke of were team/structure related. There were a few fifties for back chatting. The club has worked hard over last few yrs to stamp this crap out of our games so hopefully the coach deals with it the right way

Just one of those days I think, a lot of new players to the side this yr still learning each others games plus the four that pulled out were pretty important to the team, I think we were just outdone by a bigger and better 22 on the day , pretty good feeling around the club ATM

Good to here that there is a good feeling ard the club. Hope your coach can sort the stuff that you don't need on game day out. I had you finishing in the top 3, still possible, maybe. You play yourself? Good luck looks like Quinns are the team you have to beat.

it's hard to win games when you give away a 5 goal headstart. comebacks are tiring and our boys have been pushing teams but our starts are really hurting us, that along with our innaccuracy in front of the sticks.

Colts
unfortunately despite our best efforts to wrangle up a team we only had 10 players arrive at Swan valley. so we had to forfeit and filter the colts through the other two teams i think 6 of them played through the two.

Reserves
this games scoreline reflects the game fairly well the valley reserves controlled the majority of the game. i saw less of this game than i normally do. but what i saw was good quality.

League

well as i said the opening quarter was back and forth with the valley scoring 6.1 and us scoring 1.4. giving teams a head start is frustrating especially from where i was in the backline our ruckman was getting the tap but valley where getting the clearances then we couldn't hit the scoreboard when we went forward. the second saw a slow in valleys scoring and a more even quarter with valley hitting 10 goals can't remember how many points but it wasn't many at this stage. we'd kicked a couple and think we where at 3.8 our innacuracy not letting us get back into the game. in the next quarter we picked up again and slightly won the quarter and gained some momentum and confidence going into the last. the last was an insane quarter to be a part of both teams pushing both ways as best we could after a hard game and us coming close but again just not getting far enough to win a game. a few of our boys finally showed some intent on the ball with a couple of very big bumps and tackles. the game was played in good spirits with only one scuffle that i can recall. just a bit of pushing match nothing major.

That's no good about the colts clarko,where does that leave the team heading now being the 2nd forfeit and not halfway through the season yet?

SWAN VIEW vs QUINNS -COLTS :Our boys have really stepped up to the plate in recent weeks and its creating good competition within the team and there is some class still to come back in.
The 1st qtr was pretty even with the Swan View boys having more of the ball but Quinns staying in touch with some easy goals. I think it was 4 goals to 3 at qtr time.
The 2nd stanza was were the game was won,the young Viewers tightened up the defence and the midfield dominance was too much for Quinns. This allowed our boys to kick 8 unanswered goals.
The 2nd half saw our boys keep the foot down,not allowing Quinns back into the contest and some of our lesser lights got in on the action which was great.
The challenge now for the Viewboys is to keep their heads screwed on and continue to work hard which im sure they will.
6 teams fighting it out for 5 spots,a few big games after the bye to finish off the 1st round.
