Yep the name has gone but they are called MyCar now. I assume not related to KMart anymore.

Really, wow they are a very old WA Company pretty much from the early days of the colony, some great wines at a lower price, I did hear they were moving operations but would keep a presence in the Swan Valley.

Yes indeed.
That was until very recently, within the last few months when a local syndicate purchased. Good to hear Houghton's back in local hands.

Pity that never happened to Swan Brewery.

Little bit of sunshine in the gloom. Jeanswest which collapsed last month, has been sold back to its former owners at the last minute. A quarter of Jeanswest's Australian stores will close and about 250 staff will lose their jobs. The WA outlets that are said to close will be Mirabooka, Carousel, Centrepoint, Karrinyup, Mandurah and Rockingham.
Apparently the sale should be finalised by mid- March.
