Very true AR I only mentioned earlier the series Australia had played overseas but I have seen some rippers from England, NZ, India, SA, SL etc playing against each other overseas and some astounding batting and herculean bowling as well.
Brian Lara's record Test score 400 being one I will never forget against the hapless Pommy attack at St Johns Antigua.

Other good thing is the live and data free games you get on Telstra Mobiles, I never missed a game between FTA and Telstra, money in my pocket and not Ruperts!

In fairness to Foxtel, Optus, paid way above the odds for the premier league. I ended up getting OPTUS as well, only because the government made me move over to that national broad band network. Once that was forced, it made a bit of sense to get optus as the inter net provider and the soccer.

Foxtel were desperate for a summer tenant after they gots pants by Optus for the EPL, they went and paid over the odds for the cricket which has been tanking in the ratings for years, Ch 9 walked away laughing.

Hard to beat Kayo for $25/month. If you don’t have a smart Tv it’s easy to set up connecting your laptop, phone or iPad to your tv via a HDMI cable or using a chromecast or AppleTV
Steams all of the Fox and ESPN sports and sports shows like AFL 360
Kayo minis are a great way to catch the highlights of matches you might have missed too.

With you there TT. I got sick of Foxtel bleeding me every month. I’ve got Fetch and Kayo which with FTA, gives me everything I want and saves me about $100 a month.
I have Kayo on my iPad and laptop and watch it on those. If I want it on the big screen, a HDMI cable hooks up. Best of both worlds.

Yep tried Kayo on the 2 week trial and was very impressed, will be signing up at the start of the Footy season me thinks, vastly superior to Fox in so many ways, Ill be upgrading my TV to A Sony Android which has Kayo loaded on and ready to go, no cables or stuffing around. Best thing is its month to month cancel when you want and get back on, so when the footy goes so do I.

Yep, I've got Fetch, Netflix, plus Optus sport, add in Kayo and its streets ahead with channel selection and price. Foxtel are losing millions a year and you can see why.

you have to compare apples with apples
optus have always failed when it comes to big events, such as, the wc; and, we know why because the technology is inferior.
foxtel has to have Australian coverage, including presenters, Optus seems to able to get away with it. Do you think Foxtel really wants to cover the A league, women's aussie rules and so on? Foxtel's coverage of the EPL was just as good, in terms of presenters, as its British counterpart. Bosnich and Slater had played under Brian Clough and Sir Alex Ferguson, they knew what they were spoutting about.

Let us have Optus presenting some of the Australian niche sports and see how well they go on their bottom line.

There is, however, no excuse for not providing proper services to customers.
