baz, yep I put on france 24 and euro news here and there myself. Foxtel, also has the Russian channel as well these days. I agree with Putin's view on Syria. It has always been ridiculous how foxtel makes you pay extra for the Italian news channel.

the way to go is a new SONY Tv which has the APP on the TV ready to go for a live feed direct.

Bazz I just bought a new Sony Bravia smart LED tv so might give that a crack as I'm currently on Fox but not overly impressed.

I have joined optus as well, to get the soccer back

Yep same for me AR the Fox Cricket Channel keeps me with them plus the Sky Racing Channels and they have all the EFL comps where my team plays and ESPN etc, I personally couldnt give a toss about them losing the EPL.
I also use the DD trick to keep the prices reasonable! :cheer:

Yes Mate, the new SONY are one of the few Brands to have the APP installed ready to roll, give it a crack, My TV currently is not that old and goes well but Im be reluctant to upgrade just yet.

Be interested what you think of it, it certainly seemed good on my iPAD

Bease -- I agree mate, they have never let me down on the cricket, and as you say, I still get to watch LU stuff it up virtually every second week. In fairness to Foxtel, Optus, paid way above the odds for the premier league. I ended up getting OPTUS as well, only because the government made me move over to that national broad band network. Once that was forced, it made a bit of sense to get optus as the inter net provider and the soccer.

There is a total over supply of cricket and more than enough on FTA, apart from the AFL and Im not a huge AFL fan, there's bugger all on Fox Sports of high quality. once they lost the EPL, then Europa, UEFA then World Cup it got hollowed out big time.

Over the 20 years or more I have had Foxtel it has been worth every cent just for the amazing Test cricket series I have witnessed thanks to their coverage.
The Indian series of 2001 & 2004, The South African series in 2002 (Gillys amazing 200) and 2009, 2011, all of the NZ, West Indies, Pakistan, Sri Lankan & Bangladesh Tests (remember Dizzy scoring 200no as a nightwatchman) I have witnessed them all thanks to Fox Sports, thats enough to keep me going on there!

I have no interest in the EPL and zero in Europa but love my cricket so Fox is ideal for my interests!
Other than the Ashes when played in England what cricket from overseas is on FTA? SFA is the answer!

I guess that's the reason I've stuck with Fox is the fact in addition to the footy and cricket, they also show F1, MotoGP, NFL, A League and so on which you struggle to get elsewhere in one package.

BH -- so true, it is worth it if one loves his or her cricket. What about that little bloke from Ceylon whom got them over the line for their first test series win in Africa? Or, for that matter, Stokes smash the South Africans in partnership with Bairstow?
