and half the federal LNP members are up the electric car industry representatives' clackers, it must also be "total BS" and "pure crazy fantasy".

Jack there's a couple of start-up electric car companies in Australia. One in Melbourne making a mini bus+hiace type van.Dan Andrews gave them some cash. Some bloke in Queensland trying to do something with a Vw Caddy van.Australia Post already drive an EV Renault Kangoo Van.
Some law got passed in British Parliament yesterday. If you drive in London a 4 year old Diesel car.Or a 13 year old petrol car you have to pay $20 a day levy.Think Paris already does something similar.

They are getting diesel off the roads there for emissions, Europe have a much bigger proportion of diesel cars than we do, we have always preferred petrol, which burn a lot cleaner. UK cars have always had strickter road worthy requirements than here, you need a regular road worthy inspection. London has had air quality issues apparently which is the main reason, nothing to do with forcing electric cars.

How's that experimental RAC built driverless bus going that actually has a driver? What was it's Max speed? 25 km an hour or some crap? How's that going, we haven't heard jack about it since it was launched at least a year or more ago and pretty sure I saw it the other day on the now abandoned RAC race track at the back of the airport.

Not safe for roads hey at 25km an hour so back to testing it on a closed circuit where there's no public cars and pedestrians. Lol

Electric cars are coming for sure they will have their place but they will have their limitations for a long time and they will give the pot head greenies another thing to complain about. What to do with dead batteries. Lol

Its a joke, they are miles away. Driverless cars et al.

Electric cars need a heap of power to charge them , all produced by coal or gas, unless your some subsidised nupmty with panels on his roof, than has them plugged into you panels all day whlle the sun is shinning , just means you cant drive around during the day..lol

Looks like Malcom Turnbull is still very Salty with the party that dumped him as leader. And has opened a can of worms.
The Abc+Sydney Morning Herald+Age newspapers have all worked together on a story about Peter Dutton-Slippery Sam Destyari+Chinese Billionaire Hyang Xiangmo. It is believed the source of this story to the 3 media organisations is Mr Turnbull.Or maby Malcom is trying to stamp out political corruption???
The story goes that Mr Xiangmo wanted Australian Citizenship. And made approaches to the Au Government ,the LNP party and legal avenues. However Australian security agency Asio recommend not to give Mr Xiangmo citizenship.Because of his close links with the Chinese Communist Party.
What Mr Xiangmo done next was approached Mr Dastyari to fix the problem for him.As a middle man.And Malcom claims that 10's of thousands of dollars where donated to the LNP party via
Mr Dastyari.A then Labour senator.
Mr Dutton claims he never had meetings with the Chinese Billionaire. Or spoken on the phone or relieved money personally. Same with the LNP party. At the time Mr Dutton was Home Affairs Minister.

You seem to have confused ex-Labor senator Sam Destyari with former LNP government minister Santo Santoro, xu1.

It was Santoro who received the cash-for-citizenship from Mr Huang - resulting in a very unusual private lunch meeting with Darth Vader Dutton.

And an even more unusual private citizenship ceremony for Huang's family, authorised by Dutton, and conducted behind closed doors by Destyari.

I understand no au pairs attended the ceremony.

Sam got found out early and got the flick.

The ex Libs member wanted 20K to lobby Dutton for this Chinese Gov Plant to get citizenship in a private ceremony.

Then theres all the interference of the Chinese in trying to control the expats here and the chinese ethnic media.

There are gov plants being sent here en masse, we know they are into cyber crime as well,

The idea is a good one but a target of 2050 is probably more realistic because there is no infracstructure for it
