Jack-- I am usually to defend Western Civilisation on here. take it off the cricket field and it would be called a gross abuse of power and Smith would be in quite a bit of trouble for ordering an underling around in an aprropriate manner. There is also the question of him passing on the blame to others. I mean shit a brick, you would not want to stand next to him in trench. As I have stressed before, Du Plesis and Artherton never did that.

In my opinion Smith and Warner should not be allowed to play for Australia again until after the selection of Bancroft for Australia. If he never gets selected again then neither should they.

S42: yep, that would make the point about the abuse of power to Smith, Warner, and others, whom seem to be over looking it, very well indeed.

No one is talking about the end of Western Civilization or manslaughter...why use such terms...whinge and bitch about others having done it and done it again with little comeback....well let's be different and do the right thing....lead from the front and at least look others in the eye and say we farked up, we did wrong but hey at least we didn't turn a blind eye....only way to do this is take down your top players and make an example of them....

on the cricket front, and in regards to what happened last night, most of them 'mentally disintegrated' to use a favourred term of their own little minds. Only S Marsh and Cummins got good deliveries.

I suppose that won't be the South Australian's fault either will it?

Ark..Tim Lane on the 5 o'clock news.Saids that SA accused AU of ball Tampering in the first test. When Stark got the ball reversing. It must of been behind closed doors. And might be another reason the aggro started off the pitch.Does this go back to the Ashes. There might be lifetime bans

gtr: good post -- yes I have seen that a life-time ban has been mentionned, which would be over the top in my opinion. I suspect, gtr, that they could have been fiddlling the ball for as long as Smith has been captain. Rememmber what he said when du plusis got done? Paraphrassing the former captain, it went something along the lines of the following: 'ball tampperring goes on all the time'.From memory, it was more the Aussie media and the crowd in Adelaide which went after faf du plusis not the Aussie team.

It was reported on the news tonight the broadcaster was asked to keep a camera on Bancroft. Not sure by whom but if the saffies had their suspicions then it would make sense.

Pity the South African SuperSports cameramen didnt also keep the cameras focused on convicted ball tamperers Faf & Vern whilst SA are in the field?! :)
