shark58 you might be right about that. I think. Overall, I thought the crowds were okay in Durban given that the South Africans, for the most part, were a long way behind in the test match.

gtr: thanks for that -- as you know, Durban, historically got good crowds because it used to host a 'Boxing Day' test. Personally, I would like to see Australia do a full tour of SA every three or four years, meanning, of course, no test matches in Australia for the first part of the season.

Perhaps you should be on Facebook & not here. You keep on crapping on about Essendon & James Hird.

Kuwaja must be on thin ice now.

What a pathetic performance by the middle order wasting what was a great start by Warner and Bancroft. Khwaja will surely be dropped unless he makes runs in the 2nd innings, Smith looks out of sorts, Shaun Marsh looked patchy. Warner once more didnt go on with it. After being 0-98 they may not make 200 and have left a lot for the bowlers to do. What a dumb review by Smith for his LBW as well, he was absolutely plumb. You never know if they could get up to 225,it may be a competitive score given the way this pitch is moving around.

Another lot of starts with no one going on..... Disappointing to see Smith gesture to the umps after Rabada"s send off......perfect chance for Smith to show yep it's part n parcel of the game....let the umps intervene and the match officials.....walk off the better man not some sook crying injustice... perhaps Smith did a tatical whinge to make sure Rabada gets rubbed out for a match or two....

Lot of work to do, early wickets needed, need Starc not to be loose with the new ball.....get behind by a 100 and it's gonna be a tough ask building a total to protect....but only early days....still lots to happen.....Anchor will no doubt be smiling with another Uzzie failure....only brings Handscomb in who TBH looks equally unreliable...... pity Renshaw can't be flown over...looks in good touch of late

Renshaw made THREE runs in the first innings. Good hundred in the 2nd innings against a weak bowling attack. Qld bowlers tore through a lot of rabble.
Back to the test. Aussies made 7 runs off the first 7 overs & I gave it up. Looked like both openers shit scared.

Yeah true LS but any domestic attack is weaker than SA attack...can only score against what you face ......so Renshaw has 3 100s on the trot.... Handscomb hasn't had a hit in weeks....

Handscomb had 2 hits against a domestic Saffa attack a few days before the 1st Test and failed miserably in both innings.
Get Renshaw over there quick smart to replace Khawaja at 3 as he is quite possibly the worst number 3 we have had in my time following Australian cricket.
