I think you are all a bit harsh on Smith, We expect his to be our best batter, we put heaps of pressure on him and he has only been captain for 33 tests. He has 18 wins, 9 losses and 6 draws. He is captain of a mediocre side compared to Clarke, Ponting and Waugh who were his predecessors

If you don't think he is captain material who do you think should get the gig? I can't think of anyone better, and as he continues to gain experience he will get better.

We were 100 short, it doesn't matter how many slips you have if your 100 short of what you need to win

We all know a 100 run lead was never going to be enough but Australian cricket teams should always play to win and to win we needed 10 wickets I’m not sure how only having 2 slips with the new ball and having fielders on the boundary at deep point and deep backward square from the get go is going to get you 10 wickets with a new rock unless you intend to bowl short and or wide?

If Marsh is injured what is he doing out in the field then ffs he should have been resting up for the next Test in just over a weeks time and get a fit Handscomb out in the bloody field it isn’t rocket science...well for some it probably is!!

You would be asking how smart is the bloke and you would probably even have to say not as smart as Warner.

Out smarted Warner in the 2nd innings.. Cant be that DUMB

Yeah really out smarted Warner that's why he's out for the rest of the series and it could cost them the series , what a ridiculous comment .

Looks like he is out for a while, AM which is a shame. ended up with a 2 game ban and a fine (Until they appeal) But seriously when will the guy learn, 5 sanctions in 18 months shows he isn't the smartest.

The bloke has the ability to be the best fast bowler we have all seen, 4 x 10 wicket hauls in 28 tests. Dale Steyn has 5 x 10 wicket hauls in 86 tests...........and I'm sure we would all agree that Steyn is a more than handy fast bowler

What's with M Marsh? getting bowled by a beauty then getting fined for abusing the bowler when he walked off the ground. Surely all he should have said was "Well bowled champ"

That was only after yet another send off from Rabada PH, he may be a great fast bowler but he's thick as shit

There is a possibility that he could play at Newlands if they appeal and ICC grants him permission pendding the appeal's outcome -- typical.

How thick would you have to be to follow the team found guilty of cheating, the biggest doping case world wide.

Can't see how Stoinis is regarded as possible cover for Marsh....yep bats n bowls but his long format stats this year for WA are disappointing to say the least.... hopefully Marsh gets up and plays.....6 months ago I wouldn't of been saying that. Interesting to see if the Aust batsmen can convert all these starts into some big scores now with Rabada out. No excuses now.

Whos the option then if Marsh isn't available? Maxwell? Cartwright?
