average attendances for 2017. more than Melbourne and on par with Canberra....so by comparison they did ok considering they were competing with the AFL.

3) Brumbies (9,887)

Still lower than the rest in a normal year and they are up against NRL in those states.

Not only that WA has a massive ex pat UK and RSA population that kept it going, never grew legs in the mainstream.

So in essence no newbies took an interest in this sport over 13 years thank god its gone and what a waste of tax payers money they were....lets hope the gov have learnt their lesson and dont make the same mistake with that other rugby rubbish as well.

True...but if we're talking about numbers then Perth also has a massive UK and mainland European population where soccer is king and the Glory can only manage 13k most weeks.

ru is a minority sport even in QLD, and NSW,, why they thought they could pull it off in WA, I have no idea.

Maybe Bazza you should do some reading before you add your stupid comments,with Twiggys help,Western Force have just appointed a new coach,have acquired Australian players that were based overseas with more to come to play in his new comp,doesnt sound like grandstanding to me.Twiggy offered the ARU $50 million to keep the force going but they had already decided to boot the force and keep the Melbourne Rebels,whom are now coached by the ex force coach and have at least 7 ex force players in thier squad.The problem the Western Force had from the start was getting 'Name' players to come over here to play,Wessels changed that by giving Western Australian players a chance,and they finished near top of the Australian conference in thier last year.Very obvoius you only follow Aussie Rules,but guess what,it isnt the only sport in Western Australia.

Yes Ark Royal they did,Sharpe was captain until he retired,Giteau moved to Japan after a few years on big money and is still there,Oconner is finish now i think,A lot of the later Force recruits were fringe players from other teams.It doesnt really matter now,the Force have gone from the Super whatever league,I for one hope Twiggys new comp works and they stick it up the ARU.
