Geez feeling really really old right now...Wattsy has sadly passed away aged 80...remember the banter this fella had with all n sundry growing up as kid....definitely from the old school and one of a kind was our fella JK

Wattsie was a legend Freeze not only had a great playing career (Premiership player in the WAFL x3, VFL & TFL, 200+ games) but had a very successful career in the media after he retired from footy on radio & TV.
He was a great storyteller and very funny man with his joke telling.
Also wrote the club songs for Swan Districts, East Perth & Geelong.

What a Character JKW was.Had the Pleasure of meeting JKW at the Mayland hotel in the 90's.An Aussie Legond,fantastic footballer and great media personality. RIP JKW.

He was an entertainer who, as well as his footy exploits, hosted a high rating breakfast radio program for many years in the 70's with Barry Martin. RIP Wattsie

Sad indeed. Many great memories of an era long gone. More recently in the mid 90's I made the mistake of heckling him at a function in a Busselton pub (I made a joke about east Perth) and he paid out on me relentlessly for the rest of the day! Great fun
