With Turnbull coming and saying the fighting must end and get on board with education reform in a new Gonski 2 maybe this is our West Australian governments turn to play hard ball. If Turnbull wants us to sign up and agree to ANY national reform then we don't even entertain it unless drastic changes are made to the GST formula.

When you have people, such as Bolte and Cameron, openlly backing WA on the GST nonsense, you know that the elite on the 'thather' side of the country have made a mess of it. I have no problem with helping out the poorer states, but not from our own GST revenue. Rather, Canberra, should set aside grants from general revenue -- which we also contribute too -- as a way of supporting the Federation.

We did vote to seccede once and people in the East should be reminded of that fact. If people want to see such an event in the future, the best way to achieve it would be to continue with with GST rip-off and the forcing of a republic down WA's throat. Strangelly the exact policies, Canberra has been running for years.

WA voted firmly AGAINST the Republic as did Qld, and it should not be forced on us. If it ever happens we should leave

AR one has to take anything Bolt says with the proverbial grain of salt. Bolt loathes Turnbull as much as Abbott does.

Bazza I am more likely to support the Liberals than Australia becoming a republic. Get used to King Charles of Australia.

Swan42: that is true about Bolte; but, as you know Malcolm did promise more GST monies. I think McGowan is also very annoyed by the question.
