Like Joe Francis, Dean Nalder may lose his seat so scratch them both.
Not a lot to choose from after this election. Colin may hang around until the dust settles and all the post mortems and finger pointing are over.
Tough times ahead for the Liberal Party.

I liked Birney, at least he would bring daylight saving in and get WA into the 21st century

You want Daylight Saving Swandog? Simple solution for you it starts today. Wind your watch forward an hour and you got your extra hour of sunshine lol.

Please!

Are you Serious?

Why not bring Kim Hames out of Retirement then? :woohoo:

Are you? Fark Hames looked so haggard and disinterested on TV , all he said he wanted to do was head to his farm.

I voted at Attadale primary school and was standing in line and overheard a couple talking about being confronted by a couple of guys as they were entering school grounds. apparently they were pushing Labor and were quite aggressive. it wouldn't be drawing too long a bow to suggest they were union thugs based on the article in the West. I didn't see them personally and only going on a conversation I overheard so could be wrong. it still mystifies me that the unions are so powerful in Labor when you consider less than 20% of employed Australians belong to a union...obviously union $ speaks big time...it's got me stuffed.

No surprise that these thugs would put their heads up above the rim of the dunny bowl they inhabit, lets hope McGowan has the balls to stand up to them and not be a puppet like past labor leaders.

I've never been a labor voter but I must say congrats to McGowan and the Labor party on their win, margin was a bit unexpected and massive majorities don't always lead to good governments, tends to encourage arrogance, as we have seen, so hopefully we wont be calling him emperor McGowan in the to not to distant future. With that massive majority they are pretty much guaranteed 2 terms unless something absolutely horrendous happens so any lib with serious leadership ambitions wont be putting their hand up until near the end of this first term as McGowan did or into labors 2nd term. Nalder was interviewed yesterday and said he wont nominate and has put his support behind Harvey. Who wants to be opposition leader for 8 years!!

I was working as a polling place officer at the main Maylands box and when the polls closed and we started the count, it was clear very early that it was going to be a shellacking. In both houses Lab were running 2 to one over the libs and the greens were a very close 3rd. I didn't see a TV until around 10pm and it was all over red rover by then.
