I wish they would do something novel and win the Shield.

Those kiwis are slowly turning you freeze

Now that footy season is all but done & dusted, bring on the cricket season. The Shield matches are great, but can't wait for the 20/20 and one dayers to start as well.

Rockingham-Mandurah won the WACA Premier League, equivalent to Peel in the WAFL, its all happening out Mandurah way.

Minno will be doing cartwheels at the Peel domination :silly: ...although he said on 91.3 that he is no wrap for the alignment takeover of the Peel FC at all.

Just in reference to the Waca competition, I have noticed over the years that it seems to have expanded much easier than the WAFL. If someone would like to rise to the occasion in answer: Is this true, and if so what are some of the underlying reasons?

Cheers.

He wanted Peel out of the WAFL ... he'll get drummed out of town if he doesn't watch out

Ark Royal, the WACA competition is probably two teams too many. It is hard for some clubs that are in 'older' areas with less junior talent to work with than teams further away from the city. I have heard of an instance of teams floating a merger, but realistically some clubs should move to a more vibrant location. We still have pockets than need to be filled (e.g. Cockburn).

The WAFL won't expand because the clubs won't let it - the funding pie would get smaller.
