The Swans were mighty impressive. Geelong looked old and slow. Hard to tip the winner of GWS v Bulldogs. Set up to be a great GF.

How good was that? I normally wouldn't give a rats how Swan went because of the help they've got from the farcical COLA situation, but I think justice was served on the night.
I think Geelong got ahead of themselves. Sydney with a few suspect players, we've got Paddy to win us a flag and visions of grandeur. Welcome back to planet Earth boys.
Hopefully, GWS will knock off the dogs now.

What makes you say that Sharkie? I think GWS have got the wood on their Sydney counterparts but I think it would be great for long suffering Footscray fans to make the big dance and I reckon most of Melbourne would get behind them. Make for a better atmosphere than 10 - 15,000 GWS fans lol.

Imagine GWS get through and win it, 80 or 90,000 walk out after the siren and leave 10 - 20,000 GWS and some curious neutrals there to witness the medal and Premiership Cup presentation. That would be very embarrassing for the AFL.

Agree, Gil and co will be breathing a little easier tonight. Well done dogs, but I dread to think how good GWS will be next year.

Yes, Congratulations to Footscray. If they lose next week -- as expect them to given the opposition and having played so many finals -- the AFL will indeed have some enemies in Western Melbourne. The best chance for an also ran club to win a flag since 1961, and it will be sabotaged by two clubs loaded with AFL concessions
