Have to disagree with you Mike. Ok he's been through a divorce but a bloke who is accomplished as him in the media doesn't have a mental health problem and perform like he does. It's a shame because he is very good at what he does though I think half the crap they think is funny on the Footy Show is ridiculous and childish.

I think he just realises the damage he's done to his media career and the relationships he's damaged not only with Billy but he's now tested the friendship of others like Sam and JB. Sad to see. Like most criminals, they are never sorry until they get caught.

Have to disagree DD former host and model of Australia top Model committed suicide and there was another guy can't remember his name who suffered from depression both in the entertainment industry.

The thing is 20 to 30 years ago you were outed as a soft cawk if anything regarding depression was said, look at Cam McCarthy I've actually read posts calling him soft when they have no f*****g idea what's going on in his private life, the days of people saying toughen up have long gone.

Who knows maybe the way Lyon portrays himself in the media is all a cover up for his illness only my opinion.

PN I think the Cam McCarthy thing is totally different. He's young, other side of the country away from his family. Technically an adult but at that age hasn't matured enough to handle it. If James Hird comes out and say he's depressed and got a mental illness are we all surprised?

It's been reported by former team mates like David Schwarze that he has been a bit aloof with close friends the last couple of years. Now they know why, he's been hiding a big secret of betrayal of his best mate.

And settle down a/man, we are all entitled to our opinion and post it as you said recently to Grassy.

For the record I believe depression is a very real thing but as some others have alluded to its been used as an excuse or a cop out for just plain bad behaviour in some cases. In Buddy Franklin's case I believe (without knowing the facts) he genuinely suffers from some mental health issues.

I disagree a/man, i think may see the problem, know people who have suffered as well, and show great compassion to the condition.

I also think if there was one "condition" someone high profile can put out there to stop any questions it would be mental illness. Some people ( shock horror) know no bounds to how low they will stoop to avoid questions when things go awry in their lifes. Thats what i think gets people upset. Media and its fame etc are full of not nice scumbags. ( Hello Mr Warne, hows that charity you lied about going??)
