I feel the bans handed out to the Essendon footballers is well over the top given what they have already had to put up with. I am not an Essendon supporter but theses bans, which I do feel are a witch hunt, do not only effect them but may well effect several WAFL clubs through loss of players. It would seem appropriate that larger transfer fees are paid to WAFL clubs to compensate us given how this well may effect the outcome of some clubs season.

Yeah but I guess it was alright when the Chinese swimmers got done at the World championships in Perth in the eighties, have a read of the findings at the CAS tribunal you may even change your mind.

Subsequent to the initial issue, the players suffered because of the collective arrogance and delusion of the players, Hird, Essendon and the AFL. How many of those associated with the AFL when the Cronulla players accepted their sanctions. In the context of CAS the AFL is on a par with the WAFL.

Once WADA appealed the writing was on the wall for the players.

Alright Essendon have to wear it but should the WAFL have to be caught in the back wash if we have to loose players to top up their player list which could effect club positions on the ladder. We should be giving some financial gain above the norm to compensate.

They asked Lake if he would come out of retirement and he said no and a couple of SANFL players have been approached so they have started looking.

May be misguided but not taking the piss. The WAFL has to fight tooth and nail at every turn to exist and I hate it because Im a passionate supporter of my team and the WAFL as a whole as you all are. My ideas may be naive but I only have my heart in one place.
