SS, the Scorchers have played in all 4 finals of the Big Bash for a 2 and 2 record.
By far the best record of all BBL teams.

No wonder the eastern states are struggling then, the idea that a NSW or Vic team is not always winning finals must be eating them up

Very exciting game. Tye held his nerve in the last over, only one of his deliveries missed the mark and Sammy smashed that for 6 so he could have easily belted them to victory if the other 5 balls were not spot on. Good to see Carberry back in the team and making a contribution. I think they will need an extra fast bowler for the games at the WACA (Mackin?) Now they just have to work out a way to beat their bogey team (Adelaide)

I like Willey bowling when he's up and about. Seems to worry a lot of batsmen. I think we've got 2 good pommy T20 players.

Thunders victory tonight provides the Scorchers with a perfect opportunity for yet another BBL final in Perth. But for the stupid decision to hold last years final in Canberra this would make it every year that the Scorchers have earned the right to play the final at home. They will be a different proposition tomorrow night with Paris and possibly Berhendorf back. Hopefully they stiffen the batting a bit as well. Stars have choked at the semi final stage in all four years so that may be in the back of their minds as well. Hopefully they bat first and get a decent score on the board. Klinger is the key to this I feel as he can be an anchor to the innings and accelerate at the later stages

I heard Darren Berry whinging on radio tonite saying the Strikers have been the best team the past 2 years and have nothing to show for it.
He is speaking absolute shit because under the current format The Scorchers have been the best team throughout BBL history, if they want to bring in a double chance for the team on top then fair enough but atm under current rules it means naught to finish on top, its about winning finals under pressure and the Strikers have failed miserably once again.
I hope the Scorchers can make them all cry in their beers once again!

The female game was played in Melbourne today and it was 8 overs per team. Me thinks that tonight's game could be shorter than 20 overs per team
