I may be wrong mate but I reckon that 380 was against Zimbabwe and they were probably 3 or 4 rungs above this current West Indies outfit but I get your point.
They showed vision of Ambrose his expression said it all, even sides after he and Walsh retired still had 2 or 3 world class players shit this team even beat England in a home test series earlier on this year where did it go wrong.

Yes those teams you mentioned are the only teams worth watching don't mind the Kiwis , India,SL and the Pakis seem to be more interested in 20/20 unless it's a home test series.

Couldn't agree any more Unca. How anybody could go and pay to watch such one sided contests is beyond me. As for watching it on the idiot box, I think I would rather watch repeats of The Goggle Box. Stimulation overload!

So you are saying you dont rate the current number 1 Test team in the world at the moment who took it up to the Aussies out here last Summer and pants us consistently on the sub continent ...rather bizarre!

Not really BH, they are hot and cold, and also play "when they want too".( how is thier away record?) REAL test cricket IMHO has well and truly ( apart from saffers us and poms) left the building.
Dont "think" many established test Aussie players would succomb to the $$$ of ipl rather than test cricket ( though again i stand corrected) as they are country first. Not so sure you would say that about too many other countries.

The WI are a wee bit down on talent as everyone expected, but I really think they have complicated matters by making Holder captain. If he is not good enough with either bat or ball to bat in the top six or bowl in the first four, he should not be in the team. The batting is weak enough as it is without batting the keeper at six and Holder at seven.

I would have thought they might have learned something from the Sammy experiment.

I would make Bravo or Sameuls captain.

Unka, it is easy to say the aussies wouldn't succumb to putting dollars ahead of their country, but I'm not so sure.

I wonder if playing for Australia, and getting paid what the WI players are, and getting offered huge dollars in the IPL, I think that there may be a few who would be struggling to commit to Australia.

As Allan Border stated the other night on inside cricket. A player may have to choose between say, 100 grand playing for the West Indies or maybe a million dollars in IPL. I don't blame the player for making a monetary decision. Surely you wouldn't either?

Fair call that, Its just SPORT as we know it has become second to entertainment and $$$.
The bad side is that these new "test records" make a farce of the players they preceeded, and records that SHOULD still be there IMHO

couldn't agree more Unka. Money is unfortunately the driving factor. Records are unfortunately always going to be questionable in this day and age. Thinking of some of the records you see now, is a joke.

You wont get any argument from me in thinking that some of these records JUST shouldn't stand!!
