Swandog maybe they are more bitter and twisted than Paul Murray (Sky News). It has been DEAFENING in the silence.

There could be some blows between a couple of the Sky Newms commentators.

I dont have SKY but it is fun listening to all conservative lovers dribbling away into their chardonnay glasses on 6PR tonite

Why about J Hockey? Will MT give T Abbott a knighthood as a going away present and make Peta Credlin a dame?

Lol.He should walk before Malcom drop kicks his backside.Did think he was from the centre.Julie Bishop from the right but she helped MT fire the bullets. Julie working that close to TA must think TA is not the PM going forward.

I'm not disappointed to see Abbott go as I've said right from the start he was an excellent leader of the opposition but not prime ministerial material...but I am disappointed to see the Libs stoop to the same level of backstabbing self promotion as Labor. To think this government can now be compared to the disgraceful years of Rudd/Gillard/Rudd where the welfare of this country was secondary to the self interest and thirst for power of those individuals is very disappointing to say the least.

Will abbot ride off into the sunset?
Just short of two years as the Prime Minister, Tony Abbott is set to go home with an annual $307,542 pension.
The total amount would have been greater if Mr Abbott had reached his second anniversary- he was just four days short.
Mr Abbott's prime minister's salary was $539,338 a year and he will now lose a quarter of that annual figure.
It is unclear if Abbott will stay on in Parliament as he is yet to make a public statement.
If Abbott does decide to leave Parliament, deciding what other extras he gets is likely to be one of the new Prime Minister's first decisions.

I think you were a bit anti MT for a while werent you BC? On the ETS etc..from memory..I may be wrong - I think like me you were a TA man, but to be honest I gave him another 6 months to pick things up, it was getting worse, Like you - I am a bit dissapointed to see it go that way, but am happy we have a PM that has a far better chance of selling the message and not going down the shit shoot in 12 months time as TA would of done.

Apparently the labors leaders new nick name since MT won is now, Ball Tighten.

Rudd is getting $620,000 PA for the rest of his life, now that is what you call a waste of money.

Yes mate..I didn't like how close some of his views were to the likes of Rudd et al. He dresses to the left a bit too much for my liking on issues such as ETS and refugees but I'm with him on same sex marriage and becoming a republic.

He's far more electable than TA and that in itself suggests to me it was a good move for the sake of the Libs but more importantly this country.
