Hopefully the media and AFL make a stand for Luke Hodge for all that appalling racial booing he received last night from the WCE fans.......can't believe he got booed for his skin colour like Adam Goodes has all season.....thought the AFL had stamped on this racial vilification ........I would like to think there were other reasons behind the WCE fans booing of Hodge last night......like he is a champ and the WCE fans tried to put him off his game?...or perhaps he is a plonker for his recent DD activities?......can't believe the guy got booed at for being white....

oh well hopefully all the Goodes do gooders can voice their disapproval for Hodgey....the guy is an amazing footballer who is a legend of the game

Well s42, i would have thought with a modicom of commonsense judging ny last comment that "the team played awesome football", that one would have assumed they won

They weren't BOOING Hodge in a racist way. They cried out BOOZE & some offered him a drink which I think he declined. Great game by PRIDDIS in the background.

Sorry Unka2 my question was somewhat tongue in cheek; though I didn't watch the game yesterday.

WCE fans are a pack of nimrods in general, they boo for the sake of booing and do more than any other team in any comp, I was sitting with a staunch WCE fan last night at the game and he said the same thing to me, pathetic joke they are with a limited footy knowledge. Having said that this racial thing has been blown out of proportion massively, where is the uproar over 42k booing Cyril at one stage last night? And they also have massive chips on their shoulders

Yeh my WCE mate cringed when the wave went up. But on the Collingwood thing having been to Melb to watch a number of times they don't carry on like that, its almost a hick town mentality over here - particularly with WCE fans..and another thing is they get a free hometown ride with the umpires too, I don't think Freo get that luxury. Don't right off the Hawks, Freo or even a Richmond in full flight for the flag is my message to deluded Eagles fans. If I were to believe what I have been hearing all morning then they might as well engrave the cup now Yes they were impressive last night but a lot of that was due to the Hawks being inept in disposal and basic skills at times
