It would seem that Sydney Billionaires may struggle to win their next game (sorry Bazza, but that's how I see it). If the Tigers win tomorrow, they'll have their tails up and could be dangerous. Adelaide could cause pain, but will need to be better than today. And as for the Hawks - they are Hawthorn, so never write them off.

Tigers flopped again....what a farce...

WTF? Poor old Dimma will probably cop it in the neck thanks to a bunch of nutless players.

Is that true - didn't join in the anthem? If so, the jerk should be stripped of the award he should never have got because he is not an Australian at heart. The idiot needs to understand that what it is, is what it is and join in to keep us as(dare I say) one nation.

Look up and down the line at any final and you would struggle to see more than a third who sing the anthem. Stupid comment, try not to be too obvious with your bigotry

I take your point about looking down the line to see who sings and who doesn't - good point and noted. I think singing the anthem should be compulsory. But why am I a bigot? Because I disagree with your point of view? Because I'm saying what arguably most people think and won't say for fear of people such as yourself dragging out the old R card? Seems like it could be a bit of tunnel vision here. There's gotta be some sort of card I can drag out when someone disagrees with me!

Fair enough 58Shark you have a right to your opinion. However I still think its a bit rich to beat one player over the head for not singing the anthem because you don't like him, when most of his fellow players don't do it either. I think the anthem is overdone in finals anyway and should only should be played on Grand Final day.

Mike, I conceded I was wrong about the singing part in my last post on this. Maybe it is a bit overdone, maybe I'm too Americanised!

I've never done the boo thing in my life. However in my younger days in the WAFL era, I did lean over the fence and serve it up to the odd opposition player on occasions. I watched the WCE v Hawks game live and didn't notice the booing at all - just watched and enjoyed the game. I watched the replay today and did hear the boos, but they came from both sides. Obviously the WCE fans were louder - there was a shipload more of them at the game. People here get too carried away on this subject.

Peter I beg to disagree, I was watching the game on television and I heard booing every time Goodes picked up the ball. It wasnt as loud as earlier in the season but it was still quite distinctive from the usual booing of opposition players while taking shots for goal. I think it was only a small percentage of the crowd though.

I agree Mike , it was clearly targetted.

ABC Radio absolutely unloaded on the Freo crowd after the game on this issue as well.

And that's why I said that I would have to watch the replay Mike.

Yeh my WCE mate cringed when the wave went up. But on the Collingwood thing having been to Melb to watch a number of times they don't carry on like that, its almost a hick town mentality over here - particularly with WCE fans..and another thing is they get a free hometown ride with the umpires too, I don't think Freo get that luxury. Don't right off the Hawks, Freo or even a Richmond in full flight for the flag is my message to deluded Eagles fans. If I were to believe what I have been hearing all morning then they might as well engrave the cup now  Yes they were impressive last night but a lot of that was due to the Hawks being inept in disposal and basic skills at times

Well both are in prelims here , one good thing is the local final gets some air next weekend , but after that the Wafl gf will go head to head with two local prelims , forget it crowd wise.

Especially if ERT play $ubi
Beneath the Southern cross i stand, on Bassendean Oval, can in hand, Swan Districts, you Farkin Beauty!

sadly Hodgey got booed as well, yet no mention of that by the media and all those fan loving Do-Gooders...any reason why for that?...oh yeah Hodgey is probably a w*anker and Goodes is not  .....Mikeh....Bazza......anyone?.... tell me why was Hodgey booed again?....

disgraceful that another legend of the game is showed such little respect.....well done to Hodge for taking it all in his stride and not resorting to a mid match "strictly come dancing routine" to display his frustration....just head over the ball stuff and doing ones best stick it up those racial idiots for booing him by winning the footy....

What a surprise that G Whately criticising Ross Lyon and Fremantle. This from a person who wasn't able to interview R Lyon.

Is this the LOONY LEFT, ABC you keep on about Multi!!!!!! Take notice of it when it suits you!!
Would it one Gerard Whatley who was scathing in criticism of the Fremantle supporters!!!!!! The same Gerard Whately who took the moral high ground on the Lyon defection to Fremantle, only to have to find a rock to slide under!!!!! The same one who Ross Lyon will not be interviewed by!!!!!
MMMM I guess what ever suits your fancy at the time Multi.
You will believe anything that you hear as long as it derides the Fremantle football club.

Is this why Geelong Gerry wasn't interviewing Lyon anchor? Interesting if true. I think little Gerro is starting to think he is getting bigger than the game.
Perhaps we could put him and Bwuce in a fighting cage together!!
