One interesting point from the article is the so called commission has plenty of time to make a comment on it, but cannot find time to answer serious questions that need answering! Just thought that strange?
Top 4 is the way to go.

The mind BOGGLES, The reason why it was extended to a final five was to provide greater interest for a longer period of the season. Based on that rationale it is reasonable to assess that it was successful. What is a patently clear that the WAFC have absolutely no idea. Any sane, rational person knew what was likely to happen in the last round of the AFL home and away season. No potentially reverse the decision to have a final 5 is not the resolution to the farce that occurred in the first week of the WAFL finals. What a sane, rational person would decide is to remove the host club alignment and revert back to the previous system. This not only redresses the issue as per above it also increases the integrity of the competition.

Swan, that will never happen due to the fact that the WAFC having no idea what the word integrity means.

SS perhaps the person from the WAFC who thought that we should have a final five should resign if it is going to be scrapped after one year.

My other observation with respect to the final five is that it will provide another spot in the finals for a club other than Subiaco, and the two clubs of dubious provenance, "Peel" and "East Perth". If we go back to a final four we will have six clubs basically playing for one spot.

Swans played some good footy but we're inconsistent. Also in games decided by a goal or less they were 4 wins and 1 loss with the maggots being in the leading possessions for Swans and/or playing a hand  in some of thoses results. 10 wins was probably a little flattering. Could have been only on 7 or 8 wins with average luck.

Tigers won 10 of their last 15 after a poor start mainly due to injuries.

Bring on the finals and get ready to be thunder struck

RD you were certainly right: certainly were thunder struck. By the way did you go and watch them play colts or league.

Hey Swanny42, once BJ was left out it was obvious Sheppo had his eye on this week so I didn't make the long trip to Joony. One might say last week the storm was brewing, now it's time for the Thunder.

I thought your coacj said he was injured. Are you saying he was rested? If your criterion to determine whether you are going to watch your team is based on their chances to win a match, you wouldn't have seen too many games. Unfortunately, I may have to go to Rushton Park to watch our colts; I certainly won't be staying to watch two clubs, in name only, play the league match. By the way did you watch your colts' team last Sunday?

Morning Swanny42

You've jumped the gun there a bit buddy, it was more about the long trip from Mandurah to Joondalup then the likely result. Good to hear you're coming down this week and supporting the club.

Just a tip, the boys in blue have been doing checks on stolen cars, so you swanny boys may need find a different method of coming down. just kidding

PS. Your colleague with the name that sounds like an old english ham may benefit with some counselling to help him get over your mob finishing a lowly 6th. :woohoo:

Good luck with your colts.
