Not sure about the mess the Cardy is talking about. Freo and Eagles 1 and 2 on ladder. State side unbeaten under alignment. Crowds steady. TV ratings up. EP making huge profits. Peel in finals. Aligned clubs running almost at a 50/50 win loss. Different premier last 2 seasons. G7 stable squads rather than afl listed players in and out.

I can understand Swans and Souths fans being disappointed but there's always next season.

WP will be favs for sure but not over the line yet. If we lose I'd be confident of knocking off EP or Tigers the next week.

Only the deluded can think that Peel are in the finals. The team that made the finals is the Fremantle reserves' team. What was the average number of Freo players who played for the host club aligned WAFL club? With upwards of 12 Freo players playing in the WAFL most weeks the Peel reserves team won how many games?

It is a complete and utter sham.

Geez talk about a dummy spit. Didn't hear you whinging last year when there was just as many if not more Fremantle players in the team. How about showing some manners and wishing all teams in the finals all the best.

Seriously RD I have driven A/man crazy with my persistent criticism of the host club alignment. You are seriously deluded if you think my criticism is as a result of Swans missing the finals this season. Why should I be hypocritical in wishing either "East Perth" or "Peel" the best for the finals?

We shall see how the real Peel performs this Sunday.

RD.....there was your best wishes message from the SDFC mate.....true passionate WAFL fans would be hoping the finals are a success for the comp regardless if their side is in it or not....just don't think the SD boys are on that same level......sad that TBH.....yep it isn't a level playing field....but tell me anything in life that really is? ......we all know the score at the start of the season, what needs to be done and what might likely occur.....SD fell short along with 3 other clubs....9 into 5 doesn't go.....

I hope the finals is a success no matter what Freo or WCE might do..yeah I would of preferred the likes of Duffy or Griffen or Lucas etc running around in EF jumpers but we all know they are AFL listed players...kinda think some folk are crossing their fingers big time hoping for the Peel/EP games to be a farce, which in today's dying WAFL climate would be another nail in the comps coffin......good luck to the top 5.....still think it should be a top four only though for the finals......but hey you just got to suck it up eh and wear it on the chin

Sounds like some serious sour grapes going on here,

get over it, mothballs are mothballs.

Fark me swans mob, its a top 5 this year ( bullshit I reckon rewards below average teams ) and like my mob you werent even good enough to scrape into 5th spot on your own merits, so anyhope of a flag or claims of being ripped off with that effort is emu export inspired crap.

Spot on Freze

Actually I see a positive, full credit to Claremont, who despite being the hardest hit of all clubs by the alignment deal, having been cleaned out of layers, and a very poor start to the season, fought on and got themseleves into contention and then had an inspiring win v WP to grab a spot, Claremont are not flushed with money but are a tradional club that are doing the best they can with a outstanding redevelopment of their ground, are determined to fight on and look forward to a better future and have been amazing as a producer of talent in the post AFL era. All WAFL clubs should look to them for a way to go.

Seeing as you and Baz have had a good few months head start sucking mothballs on us SD fans im not sure Bayer produce that many per annum to accommodate our numbers!

Honestly guys for grown adults ( I assume),has the level of debate really gone down as far as suggesting we all suck on moth balls? Perhaps the EF and SF supporter are in need of some hearty interaction seeing that the action on their boards has been dead for weeks.

Since Swans were eliminated from the finals race on Saturday I have not seen one comment from a Swans supporter that has indicated that we deserved to play in September. Most accepted that we were 6th best team in the WAFL competition based on our win/loss record.

It is also fair to say that many Swans supporters have been vehement in their opposition to the alignment since day 1 and to therefore accuse them of sour grapes when they raise legitimate concerns about the credibility of finals is a long bow. I personally hope that the WAFL finals go well and attract good crowds but I fear for the credibility of the whole competition if a depleted Peel get smashed up by 20 goals up at Joondalup next weekend.
