Cmon, even Barry Hall (who nearly sent Brent Staker into orbit) wasn't booed by EVERY teams spectators EVERY time he went near the ball !!!!!

Gary Lyon is a joke, he made the comment about WC fans having a on going problem at Subi. Adam has been booed a long time before last weeks game. It is a shame Chis Lewis did not get the same support Adam is getting when he was accused of biting I think Todd Vineys finger. If the MFC and the AFL had their way back then poor old Chris would of been doomed. But then again what do you expect from Victorians!!!!!!!!

You are right LP the white Australian are racists no doubt about it. I don't remember Barry throwing something at a rival clubs supportr base either.

I still don't understand why we feel the need to boo the player(s) we don't like or whose actions we disapprove of. I would have thought cheering for the opponent(s) of the player(s) we feel the need to boo would be a much more effective way to voice our opinions and frustrations when it comes to sport. I can't imagine the players playing in this instance against Sydney and Goodes would be finding much inspiration from the constant booing of the man. Would have thought cheering for your own to be the best way to inspire the team you support towards victory.

same for the umps then DW....don't understand why fans need to scream obscenities at the umps all day, week in, week out when decision goes against their team.....but people do it and apparently that is part and parcel of footy and most sports

Umpires would hardly even hear the boos these days Freeze with the onslaught of abuse/advice they cop from players over every decision. One thing our game has in common with the world game is the torrent of abuse thrown at umpires/referees from perfect players who never infringe. The abuse of young umpires especially at junior level from off the field is also a disgrace. It's a wonder we have any left in the sport.

As for the booing of umpires is it the man, the individual we are booing or the decision itself. In the case of the player Goodes it is definitely personal and going the man. To me it is not necessarily racist but it is a form of bullying. Treat people as you expect to be treated yourself and to this day I'm yet to meet a person who likes to be on the end of bullying.

How stupid are we white folk sometimes. With a bit of thought we could of all being giving this bloke the Bronx Cheer and all this could of been avoided. Adam would of thought he was playing well and adored by the crowd and the crowd could still of vented their dislike for the fella and gone home content.

That is a bit presumptious, I neither applaud nor boo the man, my opinion of him is poor for a number of reasons but excludes his football ability or playing. His colour or ethnicity has nothing to do with, his attitude has a lot to do with it, simiarly to anyone who is overly arrogant outside of their area of expertise.

You have your opinion but to suggest that mine is about is aboriginality is displaying your own unfounded arrogance!

Booing is a term of SLEDGING. Loved the Poms last night. No Boo's, just hand claps when the Aussies made a miss field. Very refined.
